Absurd call waiting times

...I have three policies with this company. Fortunately, I have never needed to make a claim. However, on the occasions, I called trying to renew or change details I have been on call waiting on average for one hour! The online chat is worse than useless. I am currently on hold to reset password to manage the account. For some reason, a "current" technical problem for the last two weeks has meant can't auto-reset and I have to call. It's currently 1hr 26 mins and still no answer. Next year I will look for another provider. TD improve call waiting times or loose customers...

...On hold yesterday for 55 minutes and I finally hung up. On hold today for around 25 minutes and the call was finally answered. There's got to be a better way for someone to get timely service...

...I just recently called and I was on hold for 56 mins then transferred to another department and was on hold for 24 mins when I was told that I had the wrong department! Brutal service...

...Do business with them if you have plenty of time to waste on hold. Average 45 mins every time you call and same old reply " due to higher call vol". I usually do not write reviews but today I have been holding the line for 2 hrs and 25 mins ( will be happy to share the screenshots) but no one picked up yet. If you don't value my time and 18 years of loyalty then you DO NOT deserve my business. Moving my business elsewhere...

...I have auto and home insurance with TD. My husband called recently to add his car - he was placed on hold for over 1 hour. He had to end the call only to later be put back on hold for another 1 hour. I've reached out to TD online and they've not been helpful - just trite statements about "higher than normal call volumes." I do not think they value customers at all. I see that others have had similar experiences. I had to make an auto claim 5 years ago, and they were not helpful. They did not cover the full cost of a rental car after a car accident. I ended up paying $2000 out of pocket. This, along with my recent experiences with TD, makes me think it's time to consider other companies. I have another property insured by a different company and have been very happy with them. I will look into quotes with other companies when it's renewal time with TD and move on. If you are considering TD Insurance, I suggest you look into other options instead...

...The waiting time on the phone for every single call is over 50 min. Yesterday, I waited for 55 min before someone answers my phone. Today (currently I am on the phone waiting for an answer.) I have been waiting for 52 min already. The price keeps going up. I will switch out shortly...

...I have two cars and I switch them every once a while. All was fine until this April. I noticed it took me at least 1 hour to get to talk to a representative. Sometimes it suddenly cut off and I had to start all over again to spend another one hour! I even thought I was on the blacklist! After reading all those comments I realized all customers are receiving the same service. Does TD insurance management team really look at this website? Or they never care about it?...

...Before accepting their services, try calling them to see how long you will be put on hold. I am been with them now for several years, and lately, the service is awful. Be ready to wait more than 40 minutes on the phone before getting through to an agent. Totally, not acceptable for a service-oriented business. Can you see yourself waiting for 45 minutes at an accident site to get some help? Stay away...

...I have been on hold for 30 minutes, with the most annoying 25-second guitar riff repeating over and over and over. I feel that I pay too much for my insurance to spend this much time on hold. At the next opportunity, I will switch to another insurance company, and I will find one that has an automatic call-back system...

...For the second time, I have been left on hold indefinitely. There is no excuse for this. They advise they are training people to handle customer service but one is left with the feeling that they just don't want you making any enquiries in person. I want to speak to an agent regarding my renewal but based on this lack of interest in my business and lack of respect for my time, I think it's worth looking for an alternative...

...8:00 am call - Unbelievable - I get in after 20 minutes of waiting and they tell me its the French Branch in Quebec - I called from Ontario, so they transferred me to the Ontario side and 10 minutes in (30 minutes in total now), I am still waiting to talk to a real person...35 minutes now....40 minutes now - as the guy says "Your time is valuable...we will answer your call as soon as possible...We strive for excellence every day - thank you for sharing your comments...please hold for a moment longer...thank you for your understanding". I am at a loss for my understanding...45 minutes now...49 minutes - FINALLY, I get a live person who can't help me and says I need to talk to Customer Service so I am put on hold again...50 minutes & holding....now a different voice comes on to sell the TD Mobile App over & over...bottom line terrible service ! I am being sincere and fair - I give up and will be changing my Insurance provider when my policy runs out. I just wanted some info as to my options to get a windshield stone chip fixed - what if I was in a hospital after a serious car accident and needed advice? (53 minutes and holding) - I get somebody after 54 minutes - guess what I get an agent in Quebec AGAIN and they can't help you if you live in Ontario Ahh!!! Transferred again....55 minutes and holding - the agent came on at 9:02 am - 62 minutes and was really nice but couldn't really help me and wanted to switch me to the Glass Claims department that I had chosen already on the Keypad as an option - avoid this service at all costs unless you have nothing else important in your life to do!...

...I waited on the phone for 40 min. No one answered despite the recording repeating that they understand my time is valuable. Finally, decided to press 0 to leave a message. Now I find out that they'll return my call within 24 hours...

...Tried to call them five days in a row with wait times over 1.5 hours each time and still unable to get a hold of anyone at this poorly operated company. This is extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate of other people's schedules. I was a loyal customer for over 10 years with a clean driving record to date, yet they increase rates for no apparent reason and/or justification. I'm curious to see where my money is going since they don't even have enough personnel to service their customers who are paying them good money for the mediocre service they offer. I will be cancelling my auto insurance with this company and strongly advise anyone looking for any sort of insurance to stay away from this company. They will rob you of your money and purposely not answer any of your phone calls requesting a simple explanation which you have a LEGAL right to as a customer, given that you're paying for their "non-existent" services...

...What's wrong with TD insurance, I called 3 times this week, each time wait 2 hours, still no one picks up the phone, nobody has more than 2 or 3 hours to wait for a phone call, I gave up each time, my premium increase a lot this year, I need to talk to them. I think I need to change insurance company instead...
