Meloche Monnex (TD Insurance) Auto Insurance Reviews

I've been on hold for 3 hours 44 mins.
Coming up at 19:00 Eastern time on a Weekday.
Just want to make a change to my coverage.
Looks like it's been like this for a year or more, (I see by Googling around.)
I am so totally cancelling my coverage and going with another insurer. Good-bye Meloche Monnex.

I recently called their phone service 3 or 4 times. Each time it put me on waiting for a couple of hours until I was disconnected. It's really frustrating. No way to reach them by phone.

Over 3 days have been waiting on the phone each day for over 2 hours for the next available agent! Never got the line and actually hanged up. And while on hold you have this 2-minute "music track" that loops over and over!!! That raises the frustration level even more. Never had such a horrible service...will have to show up at offices

Although rates are great, freaking wait times have become INSANE. I've on hold since 9:01 am this morning. It's currently 12:45! that's 3h 44min! Still waiting. This is to GIVE them MORE money as I need to add a car to my policy. Tried yesterday twice. Once for about 45 mins, then for 2h 15min. Seriously thinking of getting this car insured ANYWHERE else. Hire more agents!

Requested an amendment to my auto insurance policy via the website 3 weeks ago. They said they would confirm within 2 business days, still haven't heard anything. I've now spent over 10 hours on hold with them this week, still haven't been able to reach anyone. No option for a callback, no indication as to how long the wait might be. I will definitely not be renewing my policies (home and auto) with them again.

This is the 2nd time in two weeks I try to get through to TD Insurance. The first time, I waited for 2 1/2 hours and gave up. I'm now an hour and 11 minutes into my second attempt. So not impressed. Hire more customer service agents!

Waited over 2 hours to talk to someone on the phone, then gave up and tried an online quote. From there a quote was emailed to me with no coverage details. Waited another 2 hours to talk to someone who requested that I enter all the details (4 drivers, 4 vehicles) because he couldn’t access the previous quote. All this to find them 30% more expensive than my existing insurer. Next time I will save myself the trouble and not even try Meloche.

I recently moved to my new place and I updated my address and had my last name changed. I had to wait yesterday for almost 3 hours before someone can finally help me. I also changed the km as I am now working from home and I would not use my car for long drives anymore too! They gave me an additional $150 increase in my car insurance policy. THE WORST! I was expecting they would lower my car insurance so of course, I had to go look for someone else who can give me affordable car insurance! It really doesn't make sense.

You deserve what happens to you if you choose them! I really cannot contact them to cancel the insurance. I have two email addresses and nobody replies. I waited once over 2 hours, once over 1.5 hours and 2-3 other times less, but nobody answered. It's a nightmare! It never happened to me in Canada on anything! STAY AWAY!

I have had to wait for an hour and a half to speak with someone, today waiting 45 min to cancel an ATV policy that was $427/year, and they want to charge me $106.13 to cancel... Ridiculous, never had a claim... I'll be moving everything from them!
