My auto collision claim experience

I paid for rental car replacement on my policy however the two companies they use for rental cars Enterprise and Hertz had no vehicles. I found my own rental car they refused to pay the rates and offed me $22.00 a day for Uber which would not even get me out of my neighbourhood. Save yourself the Mental Distress of dealing with thise IDIOTS and find a company that offers better customer service. I will be filing a lawsuit for loss of wages, mental distress and acting in bad faith.
Very bad service. Can not communicate with them. Leave as many messages as you want. Nobody will call back.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I was hit three times. Wawanesa never investigated the claims and all resulted in fault on me. I realized about that when tried to do a quote with a new company. These were in my records as "accidents caused by me" reason why my insurance is too high.
Also when I wanted to talk to them the wait times in the phone were more than four hours.
I was never involved in an accident and I never hit anybody but my records are terrible because of this Wawanesa.
Do not hire them.
If you are in an accident, they will not help you, they will scam you into signing wrong forms so they don’t have to pay, they will not cover what is prescribed, they will take months to reply, you will never be allowed to speak to a supervisor, you will suffer more than you ever thought possible. Even lawyers can’t access a supervisor after 2 years. They will never have your back. Stay away from them if you care about anyone who rides in your car.
I have been a customer of theirs for about 12-13 years. Never really had any issues until now. I took a sudden rate increase without documentation sent to me to let me know about the increase. I called my broker to find out why my PLPD for my 16-year-old truck went up $51. Turns out that at renewal time they don’t always pull people's records. So now I have taken an increase on 2 traffic tickets that happened 2 years ago! Total crap! And now I have to carry this for 3 years when they should have been pulling the record every year. I am considering switching companies and finding one that is more professional and prompt with paperwork/communication.
When I moved, I called to change my address. Apparently, that triggered something in their system to stop withdrawing my monthly payments. I realized this 3 months after. My broker contacted them. They said they had no idea why this happened, but they would mark it as a high priority. 4 months later, it still hasn't been corrected. So now I will have 8 months' worth of fees withdrawn all at once when it does get fixed. Horrible customer service. I moved both my car and home insurance elsewhere.
This company is extremely slow to process a claim. Shuffled from one agent to another on various aspects. They would not initially accept the police report that the damage to my car was "one incident" of hit-and-run vandalism in a parking lot/grocery cart issue and so they wanted two claims each with separate deductibles of $500. Had them finally call the police who told them it was one instance of damage on two areas of my car. The police inspection trumps the insurance agents' non-inspection of the damage.
I've been with them for 12 years, with 2 claims. Was screwed over by them both times. Poor service, had 3 weeks of constant calls and emails after an accident to get any help. A year later and still dealing with it.
I was out at fault for the accidents when I wasn’t, one was supposed to be 50/50 even though I requested an investigation- was denied and told "it is what it is".
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
Absolute joke. I was dealing with a lady located in Edmonton. Angelica. She was rude, not accommodating whatsoever and snarky. Absolute 0 bedside manner. I am changing companies solely based on my experience with her.

I was recently involved in a collision.
My adjuster helped me at Wananesa.
She advised me of all the steps to complete and got me in a rental right away. I was also list of many different centers to take my vehicle close by. All the paperwork on each end was all taken care of. I felt like I had to do almost nothing and had absolutely everything taken care of for me. I am greatful for this experience. Thank you!
