I purchased liquor at Sobeys. The receipt shows I earned 1750 points. The Scene balance shows only 850 points.
I can't figure out the maths.
My husband and I had a scene card with many points. We opened a new Scotia Visa which created another scene account. We wanted them merged and Scotia told us to contact the scene. We did after a 20 min wait on hold we were told we could not do this unless we changed the visa. This was not acceptable and we were put on hold again. Waited 10 minutes again and they just hung up on us. I can’t believe it...

By far the worst customer service I've ever received. It took nearly a month and a half to resolve a simple gift card issue where the pin and card number were damaged when it was sent. I always had to email them to remind them of the issue as if they forgot about it. Every week the issue was redirected to a different representative and they'd say the same thing "this issue was forwarded to the supervisor". I now know that when you most need customer support from Scene+ they'll leave you hanging.
Absolutely a horrendous experience. Call takers we have dealt with have very thick accents and are hard to understand. The background noise is very loud and unprofessional. Twice spelt surname wrong and insist have to wait three days before departure to call them to correct their error. Have asked to speak with the supervisor. None available but will contact us… still waiting five days later. Terrible customer service!!!
The worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I will close my Visa card and American Express card due to the tribble service that I received. I've tried to talk to the manager to solve the issue, but he pretended he is not able to hear my voice.
They do not care about their customers.

If there is a 0 rating, I would have chosen it. Trying to book a flight through the Scotia Scene+ reward system is an absolute nightmare. I have called their call center three times and each time I was placed on hold in vain for over two hours without an answer, so I got frustrated and ended the call. I finally reached an agent at my fourth trial and after a long process of choosing the flights and providing names, birthdates, and credit card information, I am told there is a technical problem due to that the e-mail on file isn't linked to the account. The booking agent suggested we call the customer service department to help us with this technical difficulty and then placed me on hold for over an hour. My total waiting time on this call was 2 hrs and 43 min. And in the end, I had to end the call without going through with the booking as there was no technical support agent on the other end to pick up the line. I would absolutely end my bank dealings with Scotia and would switch to another bank that shows respect to its clients.
The Scotiabank and Scene card program does not honour their undertakings to provide bonus points. I have had several instances where, after using the Scene card at a restaurant, I received an immediate follow-up email informing me that I would receive 20 times the points when I next use the card at the same restaurant. However, with my subsequent follow-up visits, I never got the bonuses. I then contacted customer service and after a long delay, finally got a reply that I had to present the original email that promised the bonuses, as well as the receipts for my purchases at the restaurants – this despite the fact that it was their own system glitches that caused the failure to award the bonuses in the first place. I had since thrown away the receipts and deleted the email, so I am out of the bonuses. Maybe other cardholders will have better luck and receive the bonus points without any issues.
This card is great for saving up for movies. I've used it enough to get 2 free movie passes every once in awhile. I know Scene has branched out and points can be used/gained elsewhere, but if you love movies and don't like always paying the full price, this card is worth it.

I receive points towards movies which I enjoy.every time I use the credit card. I then am able to see movies for free.

We had the first of our three flight trip to Asia cancelled. I phoned Scene as we had booked through them. I was told that we had to book our flight for the next day as we were flying business class and no seats were available on an earlier flight. I was told no economy seats were available. He said no refund as I was offered an option - a rather stupid one as we had two other much longer flights booked, hotels, and a cruise. I asked him to cancel the first flight segment and to confirm the other two. He did neither and kept telling me that I had been offered an option. What a stupid and so useless response.
