Horrible experience

I have been with this company for the past 10 years. Increases were reasonable. Suddenly this year car insurance increased 36%! They could not make up their mind as to the reason, so here are samples a) high cost of repair for my car; b) too many accidents for this type of car; c) POSTAL CODE! Now all of these are irrelevant to me, this is discriminatory and generally gauging the consumer. When other companies reduced their rates due to COVID they ignored this. There are better Canadian Companies!
I have been with Zenith for 5 years. I have a spotless driving record and I've been driving for 45 years. I had my ABZ classification license, down to a D now.
Every year my rates go UP! Zenith's staff told me these increases are due to the AREA I live in, and the SENIOR drivers living here having so many accidents (I live in Muskoka). I have to pay higher rates to make up for their claims. This is outrageous! I received a quote from a reputable insurance company at a lower rate at a 30% reduction, and I'm cancelling Zenith.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Horrible experience with this company. I just moved here from the USA, left my car there. These people refused to add me to my 85 year old father's policy even though he was no longer driving, because I had an accident 6 years ago, and nothing else is on my record. I had to borrow a relative's car to get my dad to doctors' appts, etc. Good news is I finally got the car insured with FCA Insurance and our policy premium went down by about $1200 per year. So not only are these people ridiculously unfair, they way overcharge for their policies.... Be careful, run, don't walk , run away from this company.

I was on a working holiday from Australia and purchased the insurance from a broker. The set up was extremely easy and I was careful to select a policy that could be cancelled due to the uncertainty in my travel plans. Covid-19 hit and I attempted to contact my broker through email and phone with zero success before I left the country. I then sent an email to the enquiries team and the broker outline the immediate cancellation of the policy. As per the 30-day cancellation policy of the insurance, I was required to pay extra months insurance. However, the following month the insurance company charged me again. I tried to contact both my broker and the company with no success. I then created a stop payment through my bank CIBC which effectively rejected multiple attempts to charge me. 6 months later I have received an email at my old address outlining that I own them an amount of money that is less than my monthly repayment. Please do not use this company ever.
