Sky high service charge

Reading the reviews I see many others share my recent bad experience. I have been a TD auto insurance customer for 15+ years with one major and one minor not-at-fault claims, both years ago and they were handled fairly and efficiently. Out of the blue, my premiums increased $600/year this spring. I called to confirm it was unrelated to our old claims. They said it was an across the board increase for everyone. So I switched to another company and saved $500. But TD would not acknowledge my cancellation notification and sent me registered mail to collect payment. I called their 1 800 number repeatedly but even after waiting over one hour several times, it wasn't answered. Makes one wonder how their service and value went from very good to horrible so quickly?

I stayed with TD insurance for over 20 years, insured cars and house. The price rises sky high and started to charge extra for monthly payments. I have 2 cars with them and due to covid, I sold one car to save some money. But the insurance price didn't drop but increase 50% than before. That's a crazy increase!!!
