I had an accident last December, driven a car over a US road when I got a black ice. My first accident since I was establish here in Canada (over 10 years), so despite I had cero experience under claim process. I just contact my broker agent (Sturino & Associates), then a Claim Professional in behave of Travelers contacted me with outstanding professional attitude. Her phone or email replies were always on time. I was prepare to fight again my insurance company in order to defend my rights, but from the first time to the last communication I invariably found a helper hand and I customer service compromised professional contact working for my Insurance Company.
I was in an accident...It was -27 out and was giving a customer a ride home as well..Other driver was impaired I'm sure, but no police would attend.
Regardless the other driver came from their lane into mine and side swiped my car. Because I knew the person in the car with me just as a customer and only their first name. They said he was not a credible witness. Blamed both of us and we both had to pay..This is ridiculous, straight out theft. It has got so bad that we need to start installing cameras in our cars? Millions of dollars a year from the public for claims just like this.
When I complained..my response was "Its the law" (basically too bad). They tried to force a claim and intimidated my spouse via email and calls for info (her name on the policy as well). The sad part is...They think this is totally acceptable if you like it or not...We are changing companies,
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Had my vehicle stolen over the weekend, no support provided until the adjuster returned to work Monday morning. Very inconvenient!!! Stranded without a vehicle in a strange city for the weekend, missed work Monday morning due to no vehicle.
Purchased insurance at $1650 from broker received my policy in the mail at $2355. Dominion refused to honor their quote!!! All the information given to my broker was %100 accurate. 10/10 would not recommend.
Accident - Dominion client at fault, and charged with turn not in safety. Our SUV being fixed in shop one week now. They (Dominion) have still not replied to my insurance company, one week later. I am not paying the deductable.
Signed, not at fault. Mad as hell!
The Dominion Insurance, you suck.
Customer service the worst you can imagine. Claims adjuster send an email to me with all the procedure I have to follow with phone number and email address and did not respond not even after 1 week and after 10 days when she called back was unprofessional at all.
Wouldn't fix the car properly after the accident. They installed "used" parts and now there is an loud low whining sound while driving. Gas mileage has gone up 41% since "repair". Garage says that the problem is a part that needs to be replaced (cost:$2000) but the appraiser says it existed before the accident. How does he know?? Did he drive my vehicle without my knowing it? The adjuster was totally indifferent to my and the repair shops inquiries and her manager was just as uncaring. It was as if my bloated monthly premiums didn't matter. I'm tired of the Insurance Industry ripping off Ontarian's. We pay some of the highest premiums in the country (and a hell of a lot more than in the States!) and get less service for the money!
That's why I'm encouraging socialized auto insurance in Ontario. If B.C. can have it why can't we?
any claims were handled professionally
both in business and personal the company has been great Their reps Pine Ridge Insurance were THE BEST
Worst experience ever. I hate dealing with car insurance and this is why. Got a quote through KTX Insurance Brokers for Dominion auto insurance, initially premium was $2500, I accepted, they opened policy and then checked drivers abstract, two minor offences showed up that expire in September of this year. Premium went up to $3,800! Robbery! Now I need to pay cancellation fee and go with someone else that will insure me for much less even with 2 small infractions. From past experience insurance companies check drivers abstract before opening policy. Why doesn't Dominion do this? Watch out for this trap! Thieves!
