I just recently switched to SONNET and so far I'm very happy. They were able to save me $170 a month... I almost could not believe it... I would recommend Sonnet to friends and family. I am a mother of 2 and 1 on the way so being able to save me that much money a month is amazing.
I think these sites are quite biased because only people who had a BAD experience come here to rant about it, so I thought I'd come here to give a positive review. Actually, I came here are read all these reviews before making my claim through Sonnet because I was curious about how things would go, and it made me worried that everything would go wrong! But it didn't! I called and immediately was set up with an advisor who set up an appointment with repaire center just a couple of days later. My car went in that day, I got a car rental, and a few weeks later my car was done. It looked just like new! Service was great, quality workmanship was great, and it didn't cost me a dime as the accident wasn't my fault. I have nothing bad to say about my claim experience with Sonnet. Sorry for everyone else who did, but I want to bring some balance to these reviews.
I've been a customer with this company for 3 years just when they were a new one, no issues with accidents, or payments or anything until they sent me a mail and an email stating I have to submit a new application within 30 days, otherwise they'll not renew the policy. The application and the supporting documents were sent (I felt it was unnecessary and too much). They said it is to comply with OAF or whatever! Anyways, when you have so many things in life to deal with you just comply, but honestly I should have switched to another company right away, or maybe that was their way of saying so! I contacted them several times after sending the mail and they said, oh we wouldn't know if we've received it or not, that's another department but it usually takes a month or a two to be processed!!! After the wait, they sent a no-reply email stating we were not able to renew the policy because of honestly, no sensical reasons whatsoever. Then I just wanted to let them know how disappointed and frustrated I am with their ridiculous process, the customer service representative says "Oh I'm sorry, but here is a website where you could get multiple quotes from different companies"!!! Avoid this frustration altogether people, if by any means they start asking for new documents to be sent, so this is how it works!
The worst insurance company out there! They do not care that you were in an accident and especially if you were NOT at fault. My car did not need to be written off yet they still did that. I haven’t sent my settler cheque AND took back my rental. So now I have no vehicle or money and no one will contact me nor help me from this company. They have made this experience completely horrific and should be sued for how they treat people.
I have had my policy near cancellation due to the error of Sonnet Insurance. On 2 separate occasions, Sonnet Insurance contacted me to state my bank did not allow the pre-authorized withdrawal due to my bank's error. After multiple trips to my bank as an unhappy customer, it was determined that it was Sonnet errors, not my bank. The lack of responsiveness and unprofessionalism received from Sonnet left me a very unsatisfied client. I would not recommend Sonnet Insurance to anyone. Please think twice before getting insurance with this company.
They falsely inform you of fake policies and procedures. Then when the time comes they turn around and steal your vehicle from you for false damages and come at you with a list of new "policies" that you were "misinformed" about. The company is a waste of time and money to deal with. They will make up damages to "write off" your car so they can auction it won't allow a buyback, oh and if you want to cancel your claim they write it off anyway and charge you for using the rental coverage YOU PAY FOR as well as tow fees and lot fees etc.
Customer for over 2 years going to 3. In quick words, I literally got pushed away by their customer service agent to look for insurance elsewhere because I missed the "paper renewal application" email timeline. Verbally changed my email last November which was approved and was now told changes are only done online. Because of their mistake & lack of customer service I'm out of insurance in extremely short notice. The most surprising part is she said I can't re-quote with them for another month until the "renewal paper" gets processed? Lack of comprehensive policies have you losing customers.
Do not go with this company. I’ve had a claim going for 5 months now, I’ve emailed, phoned, did all I could, never got a reply. The collision was not my fault and I still ended up paying because they would not deal with anything and I needed my truck fixed. If I could afford to sue this company I would. Stay very clear away from them. I hope their business goes under.

I had insurance for 3 years. No claims no tickets. I got an email asking to fill the insurance application. Sent the mail via FedEx within the time frame. Logged into my account and it says my insurance won’t be renewed because they didn’t receive the information within the time frame that was given to me. I initially switched to Sonnet because their rates were a lot better than my previous company. They took my premium for two cars for 3 years and probably decided that they can’t keep insuring me at this price and can’t double my rate either instead they cancel. Hopefully, someone decides to sue this scam company. I heard from a friend when it comes to claiming it’s a nightmare dealing with them as they will try everything they can to not pay the claim.
They say that they will save you time and money. WRONG!!! Every time I have called I was placed on hold for more 45 minutes to reach somebody and this is at any given day and time. Then once you have your policy for the first year they will send you a form to fill out so it can be renewed which is three pages long and teeny tiny font. They give you a date in which your forms should be returned by or they will NOT renew your insurance. I filled in the form and sent it but not before I had to play phone tag with a senior representative for more than a week to walk me through it. Then they would not renew my insurance because one box was not tagged. I have never had a claim and I have never missed a payment. They should be filing in the forms as that is what they get paid to do but they will not and it is up to you the paying customer to do their job. I will write a bad review on every social media I can find that they are the worst I have ever dealt with and I have had insurance for over 30 years.
