Wawanesa Auto Insurance Reviews

I have been with this Insurance company for 25 years. My husband had an accident with our new SUV. The entire experience with Wawanesa was excellent. They arranged for us to have a car for the week our vehicle was in the garage. They suggested a garage even though we could have chosen any garage we wanted and they did a great job. The vehicle came back to us exactly as it had looked in the showroom. I have absolutely no issues with Wawanesa at all.

I was paying 250 a month originally, someone cut me off on the road and I had ended up rear-ending them. The claim was okay, I reported it to their after-hours staff I believe, immediately and someone got back to me in a few days. My car was a write off (old 2006 vehicle). I had to reach out to them a few times and hassle them and eventually it was settled on a fair offering based on MSRP of the vehicle, and even told me they'd change it if I could find a better price (which I couldn't due to not many vehicles of the same km and features). My monthly went up to 355 thereafter. Now it has been a year and has gone up again to 418 a month. After I consult them on the changes, they give me it's-just-how-it-is explanation due to my past claim. But overall, they provided me with a rental for work, everything was pretty decent. Now I am searching for a new company that aligns with my old rate. But all the companies have similar negative reviews and people telling me to stay away...

Over the past 16 years I've had my auto insurance with Wawanesa. I've had two hail claims and two accident claims in this time. I've always been treated with fairness and the rate I pay is better than anywhere else I've ever looked into.

The cost to value ratio is excellent.

Wawanesa gave me a good rate although I had 3 tickets (the only 3 in my life, but I happened to get them all within 2 years). My previous insurer had upped my rates considerably as a result with no consideration for my previous excellent record.

Personnally have not had an issue ... but my daughter is with the same company and with a recent claim we had an issue with the adjuster and after a month of telephone tag and then her not calling at all, we call the insurance company and asked them to have a new adjuster assigned. Since then things have been moving along ... the work is scheduled for the end of the month so claim is not closed yet.

More forgiving of the tickets I had when I first got policy. Now that I haven't had a ticket in several years, their rates are still good.
