Absolute scam! They are quick to take your money and you won't get ahold of anyone to redeem your points. Hours and hours on hold and they just disconnect you before you get to speak to anyone....
I have a child under 2, therefore if I don’t plan on purchasing a seat for her and just flying with her on my lap I have to call in to book my flight for her if I want to redeem my points. I’ve called twice now and both times have been stuck on hold for over 2.5 hours. Requested a call back via email twice and was never called back. I’ve never experienced anything like this… will be cancelling everything with CIBC since it’s pretty much impossible to try and use the points that I’ve earned!

the Cibc Adventure Gold Visa rewards are good and handy to use instead of cash. Now you can use the points to cover the bills.
You have to pay an annual fee to keep the primary card & the wife's cards. Takes years to get enough points to get a trip out of the points. Could have paid cash for the flight

I had a horrible experience with this company when it came to my insurance claim. It's been months, and they seem to do everything except support you with your claims. The claim adjuster will do anything to use against you, making it nearly impossible to have a successful claim. This feels like bad faith on their part. I strongly recommend taking legal action and hiring an attorney. I'm shocked that CIBC collaborates with a company like this. Additionally, it takes weeks to receive a reply, and you can't even speak to a real person; it's almost all done through mail.
