ATB Alberta MASTERCARD Consumer Reviews

Customer Service is abysmal, with no communication or follow-up fixing THEIR mistakes! If you want a card that somehow manages to make their mistakes even worse, then this is the card for you.
Not even going to get into the new dysfunctional website that doesn't show the interest as a charge - you are left to work that one out yourself with a calculator.
I already closed the bank account and can't wait for the ATB Mastercard balance to be at zero so I can cut it up and send it back.
Can not recommend anything about it if you value your sanity. No redeeming qualities whatsoever.

I have been dealing with an issue for about 2 months over them first sending me a new Mastercard that expired in 3 months, which I found out 3 weeks before travelling. They told me they would rush a new one out and I should have it within the week, but I never received it. I called multiple times, needless to say, I ended up travelling without it which put me in quite an awful position because of Cuba's currency. I called them again from Cuba as to why my debit/visa wasn't working as they told me not to worry that I hadn't received my credit card Cuba excepted debit/Visa they were wrong. At this time a second credit card was issued with no explanation as to why the first one hadn't come. Long story short, they issued a second, third and fourth card, none of which I have received and yes they have the correct address! I was informed today that they weren't sure what was happening and that they would cancel the 4th card and issue a 5th card out. I said forget it this had been going on long enough, I will no longer be using your bank!!!! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED WITH A BANK. If I could leave 0 stars I would, this is absolutely unacceptable!
The entire time I was dealing with this I got no apology, no explanation, and nothing offered to rectify the situation whatsoever. This is not how you treat customers.

Watch out for the crooks at ATB MasterCard. I went over my limit and despite making payments each and every month they are reporting that the account is over 100 days in arrears. As a result of their false reporting, I've had credit pulled at 3 other institutions.

No other institution reports accounts in arrears when payments are being made each and every month. ATB's advertising is false. They do not help Albertans or Alberta business in any way. Their fraudulent business practices and reporting is detrimental to individuals, opposite to what they claim.
