Wish I could give zero stars

Don't waste your time with this credit card. One thing they don't tell you is after a year your APR rate will go from 14.9% to 25%. I always pay my credit card off and have never missed any payments. Terrible customer service representatives that are not capable of doing anything other than answer a phone.

Totally Incompetent!

I applied in May 2020 and was approved for a secured card. They sent a registered letter asking that I go to the post office to confirm my identity which I did. Then they sent another letter requesting funds that I sent them through online banking. Received a third letter stating they received my deposit and will issued the card shortly. And to my amazement, it arrived less than a week later. Wow! The issue begins when I look at the card. They misspelled my first name. I called customer service and at first, they wouldn't speak to me. After they realized the name was wrong, I was asked to send in a copy of my ID to prove who I was, which I also did. After two months of back and forth, they still can't fix the issue so I asked for my deposit back which now has been over a month. Absolute brute company to deal with since ALL their customer service support is in the Philippines!

Amazing for bad credit

Hi, so here is my detailed experience. I started with a score of 542 in May 2019 with 2 derogatory accounts and 1 collection account. I had no active credit card or loan anything at all since I couldn't pay them anymore in July 2015. I applied to Capital one and another Bank the 23/05/2019. I went down to 530 for those 2 applications. I got approved only for a Guaranteed Capital One. I used my card monthly for under 25% of the limit and pay in full every month until this January 2020 my score went in the meantime from 530 to 593 and they sent me a credit limit increase of 3000$ at the beginning of the month. It is still a secured card and they are keeping my initial deposit of 375$. They asked for a 75$ deposit to have a 300$ limit but I decided to send 375$ to have a 600$ limit instead. After 7 months my score went up 63 points and had an automatic credit increase of 3000$ without asking them.

Terrible service

Canada Capital One— So, I was an idiot, I’ll fully admit, and maxed out my credit card buying my husband Christmas presents one year ( first time getting a credit card.. I know, I know. ) I called them and put a monthly payment plan in place. Forgot to pay it a couple of times. They have been harassing my family nonstop, I have never given them their numbers which is the creepiest thing. They also have been harassing my workplace for the past few days (gave them my work number previously). This lady calls, and my boss picks up the first time. She was incredibly mouthy and rude with her. My boss calls me and tells me this ( I was off with my sick child ) the second day, which I scheduled off, my coworker picks up. She was mouthy and rude with her too! I get a text saying this woman is unreal. She was mouthy again, short and snappy with her. I don’t appreciate them calling and affecting my job- totally not acceptable. You guys want me to pay this? I need to keep my job thank you. I'll never recommend this company to anyone. I will be calling in again to complain.
