Do not ask for a call back

by Esquire666 on Jan 20, 2024
3 out of 5 stars

Called twice on January 9th for a quote and to ask how to calculate the days that I needed as I have 31 days covered by my credit card with them.
Waiting over 1h on hold to reach an agent only to be told I will get a call back in 24h.
Called back the 19th at 19h14.
And I'm considered a good client. 🙄

Worst insurance company Ive ever had

by Sarah on Jan 8, 2024
1 out of 5 stars

It's the worst insurance I've ever had. My flight was cancelled, and I had to book another flight. When I contacted them to ask for compensation, they asked me to send in documents. After three months, during my follow-up, they indicated that the documents had to be sent back. I sent them back, but after another three months, the person I spoke to on the phone finally said that the insurance doesn't cover flight cancellations. What do they cover????

Worst Coverage & Service Experience

by Glenda on Jan 5, 2024
1 out of 5 stars

RBC Avion Travel insurance changed and now provide 3rd party insurance coverage under Allianz Insurance and my experience in submitting delayed flight and delayed luggage has been horrible. I have been trying for over a year on a flight delay during the winter storm. The lack of Allianz support and communication has been horrendous on their claim submittal process. I Would not recommend RBC Avion Travel card nor their insurance!

Great value - as long as you never have to make a claim!

It's been 7 months since my medical incident, and 5 months since I submitted all receipts (the hospital took 2 months to send invoices - as Allianz (RBC's provider) would not pay hospital directly.).
After no progress for months, I had an email today asking for a receipt that was previously submitted that was somehow misplace.
Trying to get an update via phone (with long holding times) was useless. Claim was always in progress. . .
Allianz is hugely understaffed.

I'll never buy RBC insurance again, as long as Allianz is the provider.
