worst insurance company.

They pride themselves on being an online-only experience, and boy do they stand by that if you ever need support that only cannot offer.
I've actually been berated by one of their client's support people for calling in, wouldn't stop talking about doing it online.
But, it all came to pass when I needed to add another vehicle. I recently changed my credit card and the payment bounced... I promptly updated this.... but! You cannot make policy changes within 14 days, including adding vehicles.
After much arguing, they stated that I can make a payment, and they will make it adjustable online the following day. Yea, that never happened.
I took it as far as messaging the client experience director on LinkedIn as that's ridiculous, considering you need insurance to pick up a vehicle from a dealership. Zero response.
Garbage company.
I have Sonnet for my tenant insurance and I have 0 complaints on that part. However, I signed up with Sonnet's Auto Insurance a year ago because my job offered a group discount so I saved money and I added coverages. It was great for the first couple of months. When I obtained my Insurance Brokers license, I decided to reduce some of the coverages I no longer needed and somehow that made the price goes up! I thought this was an error on their website because, before even making changes, the website said my policy would increase by $72/year with the selected options. Nothing had changed, there should not be an increase if nothing changed. I called and explained what I was trying to do - assuming their portal was making mistakes - the woman on the phone replied "When you take off coverages, it increases your premium." Absolutely not, that is not how insurance works ever. I then explained to her my knowledge in the matter and informed her that this was a clear issue because it was going to increase without any changes, and she basically said I should know that this is how insurance works and the website is right. It does not. You take off coverages, your rate goes down. You make no changes, your rate stays the same. The only time a premium should increase is if you add coverages or increase your limits. It's very simple but Sonnet clearly wants to take all of the consumer's hard-earned money and hope that lack of knowledge will allow them to do this without being reprimanded. I do not recommend this company ever.
Frustrating that every login requires a text message for extra security. Even when you talk to someone they ask 500 questions.
Next to impossible to change any policy details online, it will always require a phone call.
BEWARE: if you choose to cancel, refunds take 15 DAYS to appear in your bank account. This is not normal business practice. The fact that it takes 15 days is a joke. They take your money instantly but wait to give it back. Won't ever insure with them again.

Do not deal with this company. Their customer service is zero. I had a terrible experience just updating my policy.
