Probably the worst experience, claim to be so tech forward and what not but they have absolutely no regard for their customers.
Do not even bother, this company won’t be around for long.
While I was getting quotes for X amount of dollars, Sonnet beat it by nearly $75/month. The rep had also walked me through on what to do when getting my quote and purchasing the insurance.
Currently, I have car insurance with TD Insurance but decided to give Sonnet a chance and get an insurance quote as I saw many of their ads on the street. Very easy and animated quoting. I could customize all the details of my quote and understand what is covered and what is excluded. The price ended up beeing a bit lower than what I am paying now - I will be checking with my current insurer if I can break my existing policy without any penalty fees and switch to Sonnet. I hope their claims service will be as easy and transparent as their online quote.
I would never recommend this company. I am owed a refund ($72.53) still not in my PayPal account after 30 days since I cancelled the auto policy (I sold my car). I am getting nothing but smoke and mirrors ("technical issues") and nonsense from them. This is absolutely ridiculous to be at this point when for over 3 years I faithfully paid my premium timely each month. But when it comes to paying their customers back timely, no scruples. They have held my money for a month to earn what? Pennies of interest? How is it a "technical issue" to send a PayPal transaction? It takes seconds to log in and send a payment manually, which their Finance Dept. should have done immediately upon hearing from me via a CSR agent that the payment they took 2 weeks to process never arrived (cancelled the 10th; finally got around to supposedly processing the PayPal refund on the 26th of Dec.---- that is incredible enough, right?). Just told today they are still looking into this... Good grief, who is running this slipshod operation anyway?
