They took money out of my account when cancelled my policy before the start date. And now they don't want to reverse the payment. Don't be fooled by them! They will cheat on you! They refused me for full coverage when I'm paying for full coverage from the beginning and they automatically cancelled it without me knowing hence my daughter driving without full coverage.
Very very disappointed by their customer service. I had full/coverage maximum insurance, cost me an arm and a leg. I had a hit and run accident and after much effort was able to reach them by phone. I was directed at an auto shop, was assured everything would be taken care of. After a couple of weeks of no response from them, I finally was told that they will not be covering the cost of repairs, no apparent reason. Now I am stuck with a history of the insurance claim and no work that was done by them. I wish there was a law that would prevent such scams and fraud and keep the company accountable for their actions.
Got an email last night stating the following: "We’re unable to renew your Sonnet Insurance auto policy... as we can no longer provide you with coverage. Your policy will be cancelled on December 29, 2019. We care that you’re always protected. Please be sure to find new coverage before your cancellation date. Sonnet Customer Service" Out of the blue. I've had them for less than a year and I made a hail claim because there was over $8000 damage to my vehicle and that is it. I've had no tickets, no accidents, nothing. NOT IMPRESSED
Everything was okay until I was involved in an accident (FAULT) and I had to make a claim. No rental was provided until the claim was approved which was never. Very unprofessional and they communicate with me through email. Trust me it not worth signing up with this insurance company... I was so frustrated to the point I got tired of emailing back and forth with them. No claim was filed and now I have to pay for the cost and storage tow of my car as the lady told me. Finding every possible way to deny a claim and save money. Trust me - save your money. NEVER even think about signing up with them.
I chose Sonnet due to the simplicity of their online set-up, monthly payments, competitive rates and email communication. All went well in the beginning. Eight months in I had to file a glass claim to replace the front windshield on my Corvette, my first glass claim in 30 years. They stalled, tried to substitute after-market glass, which didn't exist, wanted to use glass from a lower-trim model and, finally, told me that they would not pay the full price for the correct part plus installation. Long story short and 12 days later my glass installer finally talked to the right level of management and the job was completed. My claims record for both home and auto insurance is spotless, save for the recent glass claim. Has been for 30 years. Come time for renewal and my auto policy increases by 12% and my home owner's by 186% - yes that's right, no claims and no changes from the previous year. I requested an explanation, in writing, they told me that they couldn't do that, not their policy, please call customer service or I could cancel my policies online. I'll let you guess what I did.
While I was getting quotes for X amount of dollars, Sonnet beat it by nearly $75/month. The rep had also walked me through on what to do when getting my quote and purchasing the insurance.
After filling out their online information, (hid nothing) full disclosure) I get a pretty good quote for full coverage. Now my car is financed. Sonnet then a week later decided to
reduce my coverage to liability only. No
warning nothing, to
make
attest worse I have now paid this policy in full. I now have to get new auto insurance in place to pay again. All while Sonnet was paid in full at the time of my new quote. They tell me sorry but go
ahead and cancel your current policy and we should have your money back to you in 30 days!
I feel this is absolutely criminal!
