Jacked up my rate 90% in the second year with no claims or driving abstract change.
I’ve been with them for a year and a half. They renewed my policy for a few bucks less per month which was nice. Emailed them to change my payment date and they took care of it with no problem. You won’t find cheaper insurance for your car.

My wife sent in multiple applications. She received a decline even though she provided a detailed application. They asked for the accident history and driver's licence history even though they are to pull this information. Have never had an insurance company ask me these types of questions and then decline even though the information was different.
The agents have no clue what they are doing only try to direct you to go online.
Twice now my renewal has been "frozen" and unable to be processed. Their IT team is useless which is extremely sad for an "online" insurance company.
They take no ownership for these issues... Simply just say "they are working on it"... Meanwhile, your insurance has expired and you can't drive your cars due to their error (i am not joking and/or exaggerating)

I had some issues during covid and a loss of job and missed one payment so they cancelled me and when I paid the amount owing and asked to continue my services not only did they say I now had to pay yearly for ONE missed payment but now I can’t even get insurance without having to pay well over $3000. Scam artists that screw their customers!!!!
These people are lazy and should not even work with wages. These people are a joke. First I have filed a claim and after three months of patiently waiting. I still have no response even after getting back to the adjuster that was on my case. I called and emailed, no response! So I decided to cancel my policy after a year, after that I got charge again for a new year term which I was not expecting because I turnoff auto re-new. The website is terrible, customer service and people who work here are terrible. We should start a class action suit.
The system is cumbersome and fails when you need it. Then no backup to resolve it except in m-f business hours. Then rate jumped 55% on renewal. Even though no tickets or claims. Thought must be doing something wrong, but customer service answered, "well, that's the rate".. useless.
My son is buying his first car, at 17 y.o. I know to expect a higher insurance rate, as he just got his driver's license. He's buying 2016 used Mini Cooper. Car price: +/- 14,000$ annual insurance: +/- 22,000$! Way to go Sonnet!
Do not insure yourself with this company, they are horrific. Customer service is a joke, they ask you to jump through all these hoops and then come up with made-up reasons to just make your life difficult. I was with them for a year, no claims, no tickets, they refused to renew me, refused to give me a reason, refused to re-write my quote. Never have I had an insurance company make it SO DIFFICULT to give them money! Went elsewhere and was treated so much better.
I've been with Sonnet for a year and I can't say enough good about the company and ease of having an online active account. Never had any issues and they are easy to deal with. Customer service is spot on and the best I've had. Hats off. Highly recommend. Great rates and hassle-free. Keep up the good work
