I honestly do not understand how you can charge 900$/mo for a Chevrolet Malibu 2017? My husband has been with you for 6 YEARS you DID NOT forget his accidents from 2012!!! And none, I repeat NONE of the agents we've dealt with showed ANY SIGNS of human compassion, or excellence of service, any ethics (barely wanted to write their names upon my request. I have the right to know who I am dealing with, after all, you know literally everything about the person you are screwing). On top of that, they wanted to punish his dad and transfer accidents to his name if another company wouldn't acknowledge the accidents. His dad that was a dedicated customer for 6 years too. Will work MY HARDEST to bring to public's attention the MOST HORRENDOUS service I have EVER RECEIVED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Please run from there if you're still with them.
My daughter tapped a vehicle in a parking lot. That same evening, hours later that other person went and totalled their rental vehicle stunting and drifting. They were not supposed to be driving that vehicle. There is actual video of his driving the vehicle after he claimed my daughter broke the axle on his vehicle. (Which you should know a vehicle can’t drive with a broken axle) The police are involved and investigating his fraudulent claim but my insurance company decided to go ahead and say my daughter was at fault and they paid out the claim. No questions asked! They didn’t even send an adjuster to look at my vehicle as I insisted, as common sense will tell you that my vehicle did not damage that other vehicle. If my vehicle damaged another vehicle to include breaking its axle, perhaps my vehicle should be in a museum somewhere with its “special powers”. What does an insurance company care because they will get all that money back from you and me anyway by increasing all our rates 10 fold. No one has any morals or common sense.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Tried to cancel my policy they carried on taking the money out of my bank.
So i cancelled the Payments with my banks Johnsons then said i owe them money and they where cancelling my policy for non payments after i already informed them i did not own the car anymore, rude staff and obnoxious when they talk to you they talk down to you would not recommend to anybody.
Very poor service in all area of business. Every year they increase the premium without any reason. My last auto insurance premium for two cars were $4700 and I cancelled with them and got new rate from another insurance company for $2600.
Please stay away from this company. Worst experience ever. They have quoted me something and after putting me through hell to get all the papers they have requested they change the quote and don't have the decency to admit it.
If can't be trusted with the quote, how can they can be trusted with claims.
Never again.
Johnson makes changes to your plan without notification. In my case, they increased my deductible from $100 to $500. When asked about this, they mention a mass change was implemented. I verified this by looking at their notification and it specifically stated the change in deductible is ONLY for standard policies, while I was paying for a comprehensive policy. Regardless, they made this change to all policies, crooks.
If it weren't for the price, I would definitely be going elsewhere for car insurance.
The customer service is absolutely terrible; long wait times, rude staff, and blatant disrespect for customers time. You definitely need to plan ahead when trying to communicate with this company; nothing can be accomplished in a reasonable timeframe. Customer authentication is very poor; how is it possible for me to obtain car insurance, but they spelled my name wrong on the policy, after being corrected numerous times? Perhaps because it took over 5 phone calls with 5 different representatives for them to set up a policy...
I sincerely hope that I will not have to file a claim through this company, I can only imagine what a headache that would be. If I can get through a year without having to communicate with them, I will be very happy when my policy reaches its expiry date.
Next time, I will absolutely pay more with a different company to have decent customer service!
Requested a quote for my son and their price was 250%++ higher than the company I did choose (Belair Direct) - for exactly same policy inclusions.
When i did not move forward with their quote Johnson's reaction was to demand information about my son that I felt was confidential and private - when he is not even their client! As far as i am concerned I have no right to share his information with them without his approval. That demanding this information is a "policy" of theirs does not overrule my son's right to privacy. And it was at this point that they threatened me - to cancel my policy!???
I proceeded to move everything from Johnson to Belair Direct - saved $550 on auto (over 3 cars), save $700 on house, and even got $200 back on my son's insurance.
VERY horrible experience from both Customer Service and Costing perspectives.
I learned my lesson and will never, ever work with Johnson Insurance again.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
I have had Johnson as my insurance company for 15 years. I had my husband go last week to add a second vehicle to our policy and it jumped $370. So we switched insurance companies and Johnson decided to charge us the $460. Because we didn't cancel at the end of a month. Stealing our money. So glad we switched companies.
I would give less stars if I could. I have been with them since 2009 with no claims. Well, unfortunately in the last two years I have had to make two claims. Today I got the phone call that I’ve read so much about in reviews. They are dropping me. I was able to switch companies for a slight increase, unlike their affiliate that they recommended, who wanted $3600 a year for my SUV. No thanks.
