Horrible, non-existent service

I hit a deer a night on the HWY, which totalled our car. I limped the car (before it lost all coolant) to a nearby business parking lot. It sat there for nearly TWO weeks before being towed to an auto body shop, despite repeated phone calls (which went unanswered!) to Johnson/Unifund. It was as if I didn't exist as their customer. The business wasn't too happy to have a wrecked car in their parking lot either. When the car was finally towed to THEIR chosen auto body shop, the shop had no paperwork or info from Johnson/Unifund to even proceed with an estimate. It was over a week before they had some direction from the insurance company. To top it all off, after over a month of stress and not returned calls, they lowballed me on the value of the car, despite me sending them a bunch of receipts and photos of the car (it was absolutely mint cond with very low kms). Horrible, horrible company to deal with. STAY AWAY!

They Don't Care

My daughter tapped a vehicle in a parking lot. That same evening, hours later that other person went and totalled their rental vehicle stunting and drifting. They were not supposed to be driving that vehicle. There is actual video of his driving the vehicle after he claimed my daughter broke the axle on his vehicle. (Which you should know a vehicle can’t drive with a broken axle) The police are involved and investigating his fraudulent claim but my insurance company decided to go ahead and say my daughter was at fault and they paid out the claim. No questions asked! They didn’t even send an adjuster to look at my vehicle as I insisted, as common sense will tell you that my vehicle did not damage that other vehicle. If my vehicle damaged another vehicle to include breaking its axle, perhaps my vehicle should be in a museum somewhere with its “special powers”. What does an insurance company care because they will get all that money back from you and me anyway by increasing all our rates 10 fold. No one has any morals or common sense.

Awful Service

Tried to cancel my policy they carried on taking the money out of my bank.
So i cancelled the Payments with my banks Johnsons then said i owe them money and they where cancelling my policy for non payments after i already informed them i did not own the car anymore, rude staff and obnoxious when they talk to you they talk down to you would not recommend to anybody.

A former girlfriend of a friend, who didn't have a licence, - stole my car at night and crashed it. I'd forgotten my keys at my friend's house and had no idea till my wife spotted our car in a parking lot on the way to work. The next morning. Johnson won't settle. It's a nightmare. We've got 3 kids under 5 years and it's a leased car that has to be turned in. Adjuster won't take my calls. Gonna have to take out a loan and take them to small claims court to sue adjuster, Unifund and Johnson. BUYER BEWARE!! I'd give 0 stars if I could!!

They are such a rip off

Making online monthly payments as they neglected to withdraw funds from my account and they declined payment. They cancelled my insurance and from a 7 star moved me down to a 1 star. From 100 monthly now 300 monthly with no accidents or claims. They also charged me $352 before they would re-write another policy. Would not explain what that was for.

Worst experience ever

Please stay away from this company. Worst experience ever. They have quoted me something and after putting me through hell to get all the papers they have requested they change the quote and don't have the decency to admit it.
If can't be trusted with the quote, how can they can be trusted with claims.

Never again.

Terrible experience

They have included home insurance in the policy even though we had home insurance already with another insurer. They have never sent the policy documents claiming that they had the wrong address. When I saw that they were charging me more than they should I called them and only then I found out that home insurance was included. Even though they supposedly rectified the situation they continued to take the incorrect amount from my bank account. Their customer service is extremely rude and poorly trained. Stay away from this company. They are not cheap, they will try to cheat you and their customer service is terrible.

Poor customer care

I was hit by a car from back and unfortunately he was running from scene. I reported to police and waiting for 2 weeks no suspect was found. I decided to claim under my policy. Because wheel and axle is damaged/as it was not my fault. So 3 times with 3 different customer rep. They promised me adjuster will call you . still waiting for couple of days and left message for adjuster. No answer no call back. I asked for rental car and, first, they agreed then said no - now you should talk to adjuster. He needs to see the car first.

So poor customer service , trying to not cover /assist you when you need them.

I am disappointed and will switch to another company soon.

They will cancel your insurance policy without any reason just because their customer rep thought you may do something against their regulation. Won't go with them, such a rude customer service.

I have had Johnson as my insurance company for 15 years. I had my husband go last week to add a second vehicle to our policy and it jumped $370. So we switched insurance companies and Johnson decided to charge us the $460. Because we didn't cancel at the end of a month. Stealing our money. So glad we switched companies.
