HORRIBLE!!!

This company is awful, over a month to even get a call back after an accident that was classified as a total loss. I have to track them down, they don't keep in touch, they lie and are very disrespectful. But sure have no problem taking your money every month. This company has lost my business for life. I may be only one customer, but that's a good 50 years of premiums they will never get from me.

Out for Lunch

I had a car collision that happened almost a month ago from today's date (June 12, 2017) which I was not at fault. RSA insurance is the third party insurance that is covering my damages and NEVER had this insurance company called or communicated to me for my car collision claim. I had to call, email, beg the Customer Care Hotline for help and yet on the second week, still no answer. Geoffrey S was "dealing" with me and he only called me when I escalated his lack of communication (NOT REPLYING TO EMAILS AT ALL or NO CALL BACKS) to his supervisor. After one day, he called me and didn't even apologize for his lack of responses. It has been almost a month now and my car is not fixed yet. I have one word for these guys, TERRIBLE. The crazy thing about this is that I had to beg them for me to bring the car to a body shop for an estimate and which the girl on the other line was very rude. She kept saying Spencer is busy but every time I call the customer service hotline, they always said that he's on Lunch. Like every time? The body shop I went was accredited to them which was all good. The shop has sent the estimate last week, and until now they keep saying they haven't received the email!? What year is it now? I'm sure their Internet is at Dial-up speed. Wow...

RSA insurance disappointing

I was run off the road in November 2017 by a driver I believe was either drunk or texting. He was deemed at fault. My SUV was hit badly on the driver's side door sending me flying over a curb and up a slight hill, thankfully my airbags did not go off or I would not have been able to avoid hitting not only a bus stop pole but an electrical pole as well. My car axle bent on the passenger side as well and the front bumper fell off and I was left trapped in my truck because the door was stuck causing $9000.00 in damage. Although my SUV was a 2004, anyone who knows me will tell you I take exceptional care of my vehicles and I keep them for a long time because I am a single mom on a single income with a mortgage. They deemed my truck right off. I had a rental car set up immediately on the Monday following the accident. It took the Insurance company over a month to send someone out to the Body shop to assess the truck and the only reason why they finally did is because I called to complain. Right after my Phone call on December 21st, I get a call offering me $2400.00 plus tax minus 1000.00 but plus 1000.00 because as he quoted "your vehicle was in above average condition for its year" deductible because the other parties insurance company was claiming he was not at fault despite the police report I submitted. I disputed the amount and questioned the deductible. The Adjuster told me he would need the full disclosure from the police report and asked me to go to request it because it would be faster. I went On December 22nd all the way downtown, $27.00 parking and $67.00 for the report which they said they would mail in 2-3 weeks. I called the adjuster and told him and he then told me I had to return the vehicle on December 27th as my time was up, I said I couldn't A) because I needed a vehicle to get around and B) it was the Christmas Holidays and there would be no time for me to go find a car in such a short time, furthermore, for my religion and ethnic background we celebrate the entire week. He extended it up to January 2nd only and I said I wanted a manager to call me back. I indicated that they still have not received police report and if they had gone to appraise my vehicle sooner I would not be in this situation. On January 2nd I received the police report in the mail, I faxed it to him immediately. I received a return call about a week later indicating there would not be a deductible because I was not at fault. I had sent him 3 estimates as I had gone out to try to find a replacement vehicle and I had actually gone to look at 2004 GMC Envoy like mine. None were in any way, shape, or form in the as he put it "above average condition" that mine was in nor did they have the full FUNCTIONING options that I had in mine. The prices ranged from 6700.00 to 7800.00. I asked the insurance to at least give me the 7800.00 or to meet me in between. The adjuster said no and then I spoke to his manager who was a horrible person. She basically said that they obtained their quotes from the Auto trader and I said so did I but I went to physically see and test drive these vehicles whereas they did not. She basically told me: "Too bad we are not here to put you in the same position that you were in prior to the accident we can only replace the value as we see it". I argued with her but to no avail. She backdated the cut off date to the rental to January 9th and I am now in collections with Enterprise Rentals for 4 days worth of rental costs and have been without a car since then. I refuse to settle with them because I know what the value of my truck was and if I had not gone to physically see and test drive the vehicles I would have settled for their offer but their offer will not put me into a reasonable vehicle that I can keep for a few more years. I had no intentions of buying a new car for the next 4-5 years. Royal Sun Alliance is the worst insurance company. The gentleman that hit my truck received far better service from Intact Insurance and he was at fault. I will never use this company again.

Appalling service from the RSA

RSA is the worst company who could deal with claims. They are unprofessional and their customer service is absolutely appalling. I would never recommend a company like the RSA to anyone. Marie an RSA employee terminated a call on me midway. What kind of customer service do you call that? And when complaining about that the RSA said that there was no fault from their side. They are the worst company I have dealt with and are an absolute disgrace they just do not listen as to what you have to say. I am still surprised how the company runs as it should’ve been out of business with the way they deal with their customers. Rubbish, appalling and an absolute disgrace. Please save yourself from going to the RSA.

DON'T USE RSA EVER!!!

Horrible experience. RSA decided to renew my policy without contacting me or even letting me know by sending an e-mail or mail. Raised my premium an extra $223.32 a month. I have had no accidents or tickets. HOW DOES THIS WORK!!! After cancelling my policy with them and having a signed document that they have received my cancellation, they still went ahead and took out over $450.00 out of my account not once but twice. How do you go from paying $226.00 a month to over $450? RSA CAN YOU EXPLAIN??? DONT USE THIS COMPANY EVER UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH STRESS AND LIES!!!

Worst insurance company ever!

Don't waste ur time or money! I've been trying to cancel my policy for 2 months and they keep taking payments out of my account. I was basically just told my account will be cancelled if I call my bank and put a stop payment on them. Wow is all I can say...... I have never had such bad customer service.

No service, money goigers

I've had RSA for my home and auto insurance for some time simply because they were the cheapest provider my Broker had offered. They are impossible to contact for customer service and I have spent 2 hours over the last two weeks trying to contact them to make a one time adjustment to my payment schedule due to starting a new job. I was unable to ever actually talk to anyone and now I've racked up 3 NSF fees waiting for my first pay at my new job. They don't try to contact you at all and will just nonstop bill your account.

Over the last 4 years every experience I've had dealing with them, whether adding or adjusting policies or trying to make payment arrangements jas been a nightmare.

If they were 50% cheaper then a competitor I would still avoid them and I am switching to a new provider today.

Very disatisfied

First of all i get double charged every month then, when I cancel, they take more money out of my account. This place is a disgrace to humanity and should be shut down for theft and disorganization. I pay 50$ a day and it wont stop. I'm tired of this - do not use royal and sun unless you want to be ripped off and forgot about cause. They dont even have a real phone number

A nightmare to deal with on every level. I've benn calling twice a week for 2 months to increase my coverage and can't get a call back.

I got rear ended and my section B that I have and have been paying won't cover me. My adjuster closed my file without notification because she is missing a document. Instead of calling to confirm if I received the document or not she just closed my file. I was badly injured and now no one can return my calls. The vice President of Atlantic Canada won't give me information. His solution was to tell me to get a lawyer.

Buyer beware!!! If you're in an accident they are a nightmare and can't answer any questions or return calls

Terrible Customer Service

I have been waiting over three months to settle a claim and just received a letter from another adjuster who told me to resubmit my forms. Incredible incompetence. Then I asked what happened to the original adjuster and they said she quit. When I called the original adjuster, her voicemail was still active, so clearly she was still working with this company. I filed a complaint with them, and they claimed they escalated my complaint to managers but to date have received no calls back.
