I have been with PC my entire life and I cannot wait to cancel my PC Mastercard. Not only do they frequently lock me out of my card (after verifying I will be using it in another country) BUT when I make payments from my debit banking app, it takes 3-4 BUSINESS DAYS to accept the money. So essentially my money is then stuck in cyberspace for potentially 6 days depending on when you choose to put money on it.
We've been customers for years. Our account has been inaccessible since a website change 3 months ago. We have not seen a statement or been able to check spending on our cards for this entire time. Customer service has been friendly, but totally useless. I have called 6 times. Each time they promise they have escalated issue (lie) and will get back to me (lie), nothing has been fixed. Terrible, frustrating, time-wasting experience. Will be cutting up cards as soon as points are spent.

I opened my credit card account two months ago. Received the promotion bonus of 50 000 optimum points as suggested. Cannot log in. I tried calling several times, and each time they said they are working on it, and assured that they escalated the issue! At the 2-month point, I called to close my account, at which point they told me they would remove all my PC Optimum points, that I have been earning over several years. Literally the worst customer service, ever.
This has to be the stupidest change I've ever experienced with regards to a bank website! They made a change to the site, didn't tell their customers, made it so existing usernames and passwords didn't work anymore, stopped sending out account alerts that had been previously set up, then locked me out of the account when I couldn't figure out why my password wasn't working! I called, spoke to a lovely young girl, who was obviously not directly responsible, but she couldn't figure out what was wrong either... so now I've closed my account, and will be looking for a new credit card company.
I had applied for this card. They asked for my photo id and I sent them. After a few weeks, I received the letter where they asked me again to send my photo id...

The new website and security features really are a pain in the neck. I'm always locked out, and then when I get in, there's no way to download transactions. If you want to view transactions on the website, they're spaced out so far apart you can only see a few at a time even on the big screen. I loved their old website and have been with them for many years, but this new website is making me seriously consider switching credit cards.
This card is ok. Some good features but they just blocked access to Mint, so if you use the site, this card will become a major headache for you. It's a real shame. If it wasn't for the Mint blockage, I wouldn't have cancelled my card
I thought I'd give PC Mastercard a chance. I like to check my account every once in a while to see how much I spent, when I need to pay off the card, etc. I do this often so that I can stay within my budget and plan ahead financially since I'm a broke uni student but have a card in an attempt to build good credit for the future. I don't have a bank account with them, so I can't use an app to check my balance which is why I have to do it on a browser online. No big deal until they launched their new website. To be honest, it looks nice, I love the layout. It asks me to verify my account, so I did and added my devices as trusted ones so I don't have to verify again. Here's the problem... every single time I try to log in, it makes me verify with my credit card number even though I already verified with that device in the past. Being a young adult, I mostly use cash or pay with a tap on my phone. I don't always have my card with me, which sucks when I want to log in. They don't even allow you to verify with a text/email code or anything else. Then what was the point of asking me to create security questions when I can't even use them to log in??? Customer service doesn't help much either. When I log in (inputting my credit card number, expiry, ccv, etc.), they gave me the option of getting notifications. For example, I can set a budget and it will send me a text when I go over it. I thought "excellent, it's a garbage website but at least I won't really have to log in as often if it will just notify how much I'm spending". BUT along with the website, this function is also garbage as in it doesn't even work. I am very disappointed and will switch companies once I pay this off next month.

I got a President's choice card around 2 weeks ago on December 21, 2018, with a balance of $4,000. I made a few purchases over the week and set up my alert to inform me every time a purchase is made as well stating current balance. I made a purchase and I receiving alerts stating how much my purchase was and that my current balance is $4. So, I thought it was a mistake. I called the President's choice and they told me they don't know why my balance was altered. Maybe it's due to credit score that they have an automatic system that randomly pulls your credit score and change your credit limit. I went on to explain but I just received the card not even a week now and I don't understand why they would be pulling my credit that often and that will drop my credit score and no one else went on my credit except for them. So how much of a change could it be within a week from when they gave me a limit they were definitely not helpful in answering my questions. So I just made my statement but I've never come across a credit that checks your credit every week or every other week they need a better system and if I knew that's it was like this I would never apply for their card because now my credit utilization is garbage now! Because they change my credit limit to whatever money I have spent so it looks like I just maxed out the card they need someone else to manage their credit card company because they obviously don't know what they're doing! I am very disappointed because I was looking forward to making a lot of points with this company my favourite stores are owned by PC.
The credit card company reported me to the bureau and lowered my rating but has not given me the first warning either in writing or phone or by email. I usually receive a written statement of my account which I did not receive the last two months for a balance of just 200 plus dollars. Now my rating sunk to a low level I can't probably qualify for a car loan. So beware the next time you go to their store.
