I am very please with my CIBC visa....application was very easy and approved fast! The interest rate is the lowest I have seen and the customer service reps I have dealt with have all been very pleasant
Very simple card but I had no problem with it.
No fee and competitive interest rates. Doesn't have any perks that they try to sell me on.

I am sure that there are better cards out there but CIBC was the only one that would offer me a card when I was a single mom
My wife’s account was closed as I, her guardian, failed to renew the card within its time limit.
I had paid 1000 dollars on the card, thinking I needed to pay on a balance that did NOT exist.
For the next 6 months that thousand dollars sat in that visa account, and I had no way of getting it returned as I was not the primary person on the account.
My wife has Alzheimer’s and could not answer the questions on the account access.
So now my wife has passed, and I’m left with an estate application.
It has been started and Visa sent me a statement saying that the 1000 dollars has been applied to its balance(!).
Every time for the last 6 months I received a statement saying the balance was zero.
What the hell did CIBC Visa do with my 1000 dollars…?
You steal from the dead…
