One of my furniture line of credit with them became overdue. I was on a 'don't pay anything for two years" plan to buy this furniture. After two years a monthly payment became due. It has been such a long time that it just went out of my mind, I missed the minimum monthly payment for 2 months, it wasn't a large amount. They never called or emailed me to remind me of the late payment. They ruined my credit score which hurt my ability to get a mortgage. When I called them to ask why you didn't contact me, they said they lost my number or didn't have it. I put all my correct details in the application. I paid off the entire amount rather than keep dealing with them. Even though the agent gave me the whole amount to be paid, they still contacted me of a small balance owing, I'm trying to get rid of them. Stay away from them and protect your credit score!
This company has the most confusing monthly payment arrangements I have ever experienced. They send you information on what you owe monthly and divide it all up. Nevermind how confusing the paper mail billing statements are. I asked what I owed in full because they put late on my statements and it reflected on my credit. I put 200 and owed 217 so it was considered a partial payment. Yet they do not send billing statements on time. Ridiculous. I asked them how much I owed in FULL so I could pay it ALL off because I was SO done with this company. They told me the amount I wrote it down and paid it. 2 months later I get a statement saying I owe 169.90$ and I'm 1 month late yet I asked how much I owed in full. I paid it and am going to cancel my credit card. Shame on you.

I just received notice that my personal information may have been compromised. To avoid issues, Desjardins says that they will pay for Equifax for five years... sure! First, you need to sign on, not following their instructions because that won't get you where you want to go, then you will get a code upon which Desjardin will MAIL you and activate code for Equifax!?!? The letter I received is dated May 28, 2020, and I received it on June 15, 2020. By the time Desjardin sends me an activation code, who knows what potential damage has been done. I have the credit card only because I bought a mattress! Two more months and I will be cancelling this card and I will NEVER go near this company again!
I had a business visa card with Desjardins. It was the worst. Difficult and confusing to check the balance online. Confusing paper balances in the mail. My accounting software was unable to connect with the online account so, it was frustrating for my accountant too. I have 3 Mastercards with other banks. They all are great. Never going back to Desjardins Visa. Waste of time and money.
My wife called back in February to pay off our credit card. They told us the outstanding balance and we paid it. We never heard back from them until we received a phone call from Desjardins but it sounded like a scam. They told us that there was a balance on our card. Because we paid the card off fully, I didn’t think it was legitimate. We received a letter in the mail stating that if we have trouble meeting our financial obligations because of Covid 19 they could help. I call the number on the mailer and after being on hold for 40 minutes. A representative came on the line ( ID # 61A ). She was the rudest CSR I have ever dealt with. Completely lacking in empathy. I hope I never have to deal with someone like that again.

I used Desjardins credit card to purchase items at Staples (6 months, 0 percent). Customer service at the call centre is terrible, monthly statements are confusing, and no one in the Desjardins company seems to be able to tell me anything about my account with certainty. Last time I use this card/company.
Their customer service do nothing for you! My 75-year-old mother had a loan on a sofa with Desjardins when the Coronavirus hit and my mom was afraid to go out do anything. So her bill went from $260 ish in March 2020 to over $525 by May 2020. It seems like a scam to me! So very be careful with this company!!!
I received a financing card through FutureShop/ Chase before Best Buy took over. When BestBuy stepped in my accounts were transferred to Desjardins. I have now paid over $400 for a $100 purchase and had my credit completely ruined due to poor customer service. They rarely send statements and when they do it is on request because I am ineligible for online statements being grandfathered in. When I do call and ask for the full amount owing they only tell me a portion. Today (after already paying off the "full amount" 3 times now) I called to see why they are showing up on my credit score again as a missed payment. They responded saying I owe $12. Then when I pressed the "full amount" went up to $16 then before I hung up I tried to verify the $16 would clear me, nope I still owe $46 to clear my card. Remember I don't receive statements so if I had paid the initial $12 like I was told I would've assumed I am paid off. This $100 purchase was made for a baby shower. The kid is in preschool now(4 y.o.). Please tell me how multiple payments over $20 over 4 years have not paid it off. TERRIBLE COMPANY. Shame on you.

You would think that a credit card company would be vigilant about credit card frauds. I went to Best Buy because of the flexible financing they offered with Desjardins visa credit card. Despite my good credit scores, my request for the maximum of $2,000 limit had been denied. They gave me a Desjardins number to call to see why I had been denied the application. After series of voice automated options, I found out that I had been approved for $15,000 limit and the account had been created under my SSN (It's Canadian) This freaked me out, and I immediately called their customer service to see what was happening. I was on the phone with them for over an hour as the Fraud Department could not figure out anything, and they pass the call around with different departments at least three times. Oh, and when I was transferred to customer service, they were very short with me about the fact that I called them up about fraud-related events... It was very hard to keep calm over the phone. My last time being "on hold" I was waiting for about ten minutes, then the phone was disconnected. Needless to say, they have the WORST customer service ever. They were so irresponsible as they did not know how to deal with fraud-related events. If anything, do not deal with credit card companies who couldn't care less about credit card fraud (and your credit score)

I used this company when Sleep Country offered a 2 year no interest through them. A few days later I made a second purchase and asked to have only one account for both purchases. First problem: they opened 2 different accounts and if they mailed any statements, I did not receive them. My first purchase: Took several attempts to access my account online to arrange for payments. Then I sent by fax and then by mail the information needed to make automatic payments. Both ignored. They began to send me late payment notices but no statements. After many failed attempts to speak with them over the phone, I finally was able to make the arrangements to pay without problems. In the meantime, I got a letter from the collection company regarding the "second account" (for which they claim have sent statements but none received). In spite of my efforts to arrange for monthly payments, they damaged my credit record and now I am dealing with a collection agency (for the second account only). My experience is that I am dealing with a deceitful or very incompetent company that is best to stay away from.
