I am really frustrated with CIBC handling their loyal customers like us who has been with CIBC since day 1 and all their products with CIBC. I have contacted them since last year several advisors including you at CIBC regarding this early renewal (CIBC Eglinton Square, CIBC Mortgages) and sending requested documents from time to time. I am currently at a 3.89% fixed closed interest rate and I wanted to early renewal and I was told a 25% portion of the penalty was waived. After so long, I was declined.
I am really not happy with CIBC treating their already existing clients. I am seriously shopping around now for my mortgages and already I got some offers from some other financial institutions at a lower rate with some cashback offers to cover a portion of my penalty. This is ridiculous wasting my time sending all these to CIBC. You could have just mentioned that CIBC only considers their interests, not their customers and It would never be possible
I have banked with CIBC for many years. The mortgage application process the rate offered my experience with CIBC with mortgage and non-mortgage matters access on-line has been excellent. I have easy access to my financial advisor which is another valuable CIBC asset.

Very easy to speak to everything explained clearly to us changes were easy to make. We had some questions recently so I called the mortgage number and had them answered very quickly and succinctly. Very happy with CIBC.
They are pretty average in every aspect. Nothing that makes them stand out. Average mortgage rates and lending criteria and everything.
I thought the interest was in line with the better lenders out there. The advisor was very helpful in me understanding the process and legal terms.

I believe the bank is overcharging the customers for the interest rates that they provide. The bank reps should have better training.

They were very helpful answering all questions and explaining everything. Never felt rushed or like time was being wasted. Multiple options were given.
The mortgage process was fine. Rate was okay. However due to other issues with RESP's i will not be renewing with this lender and pulling all ties with this bank in the near future.
