I have to say that this is one of the banks that caters to different nationalities within each segment of Greater Toronto Area. Each branch hires Financial Planners/Mortgage Advisors/Tellers that speak the common languages spoken within the community to cater to their clients needs. The staff are very knowledgeable and capable of providing products that are useful for your Financial/Investment/Mortgage needs. I strongly encourage the use of this bank!
I had my first mortgage with RBC and thus decided to get the second one through them as well. It is easier to have both with the same provider. Setting up a mortgage with them was very easy, the agent worked with me to build up the mortgage case and explained my situation so I could get a great variable rate (2.59%). Very happy so far - dealing with RBC was really easy.

So far so good nothing to note about. This is our second mortgage with RBC they helped a lot with the process from selling the old house/getting the new one.
Great that they allow an anniversary mortgage payment so you can reduce your principal; we will soon be finished with our mortgage.

great customer service but had to ask for certain information that I thought should have automatically been provided. all worked out though
Ability to add extra payments throughout the year. Unfortunately, if closing on the house before the exact date of maturity they charge 3 percent of the complete mortgage. This is even if you have only 3 months of payments left or even twelve days. In our case 6200$ plus early discharge fee 380 etc. This company would not work with us. We were willing to pay out the rest of the mortgage payments and interest. Interest to maturity was 1500$.
