The customer service was amazing. Laurentian staff was very helpful to ensure we did everything correctly.
We used a mortgage broker so we go through her for questions. We really have not had any direct contact with the bank.

All services pertaining to the mortgage are satisfactory however the fixed mortgage rate was not as competitive as other banks.
While they managed to get me a lower mortgage rate of .05% during the raise of 2022 rates, it was useless as I was not able to get into contact with them once I had my house offer approved.
I already had a mortgage pre-approval from the institution and when calling my financial advisor and leaving voicemails and emails for days I was left without answers. There was no way to reach out to an agent over the phone either and had to get there in person to be told my Financial Advisor was on sick leave and there was no way I could have another agent process my case, had to be them and no one else.
Since we only had 14 days to get everything sorted out with the bank before the offer would be rejected and I had already waisted a week, I still cannot believe I would have lost the house had I not found out. Luckily I was also pre-approved with another bank and they were quick to finalize everything, their rate being only a few percentages higher.
It's unthinkable how they would let me down as I could only refer to my financial Advisor who was unavailable for who knows how long. Would never go with them again.
It is really unfortunate and frustrating experience from the BLC branch 575. I talked from customer service to the management and in discussion since March 2021 but still not getting a commitment from them. Whenever try to contact someone give a call or only bother to send an email that we are working on and update you. Last week I discuss this matter with a Director and he assures for a swift response despite the fact that I got the file complete a week ago without providing commitment. No one bothers to offer compensation for wasting 4 months and still hanging my file in limbo. Sorry to say but very disastrous customer service after the departure of FD. It is not my problem if someone is on vacation or absent or transfer to another department and funny excuse when you see that you are holding a file since the last 4 months.

I have terrible customer service with them regarding my mortgage. Never ever getting any product from them.
Had 2 years left on a 5 year fixed mortgage. Have excellent credit rating. Never late on a single mortgage payment over 8 years. Sold my house and wanted to port my mortgage. I could not get an approval from Laurentian after 3 weeks of supplying them with information. Went to Royal Bank and was approved in 2 days. Laurentian simply wanted to collect the interest on the 2 years left on the mortgage despite the fact that they would not give me a new mortgage.
they are professional and patient when I have questions....When I call or email them they answer quickly. I also don't pay when I renew my mortgage since I have been a client my whole life
