Worst Mortgage Provider

You have to contact them via email. The highest rates ever! I tried to renew early and by the time I had the right advice I was paying a couple of points more than I should have not to mention the $700 ‘renewal’ fee and another $200 ‘processing’ fee is pretty ridiculous. Especially if you renew each year! Can’t wait to move on to a new lender.
Missed 2 closing dates because of their terrible customer service. Finally, sign the papers at the lawyers they had my name spelled wrong. They tried to charge me $1000, interest before I was even in the house and then put off the closing for another week. It seemed they did not understand English well and repeatedly asked for documents that had already been supplied. I would say stay away from this bank unless you have no other choice!

Equitable Bank is the worst Mortgage provider. They were late to close on my mortgage refinance. Their renewal interest rates doubled my mortgage payment. Additionally, When other banks were helping their customers with the rapid rise in interest rates, this bank refused to help. They have horrible customer service and do not call you back when requested. Do not get a mortgage with them if you can do better.
