I had lots of space on my card, but it suddenly was getting declined. It is my only credit card, so that was a huge and very upsetting problem. I finally took the time and called, verified my balance, and then asked why it was being declined. It was because I had put a $50.00 gift card from Princess Auto on my card! I am irate. I have been doing that for Christmas and my son's birthday for years and years. Actually, I think for Christmas, 2023 it was $100.00 for the Princess Auto gift. Never ever an issue before. Did someone think to verify my history? Christmas and April for YEARS. I am looking for another card that won't completely screw up my life for over a week.
Your customer service is a complete joke. This is not how a company should treat customers. Completely unacceptable.

I have been having this card since they started I have been a good customer never missed a payment I was hoping decrease for interest rates but it's actually increasing and they do this anytime they wanted 21.99 is way too high
My wife's card had a few fraudulent transactions and she raised the issue immediately, after the card was canceled my wife called several times for the resolution and their response was very different each time. The first time they told it would take 45 days to resolve then they said afterward, it would take 3 months. Besides the customer service was very rude, I wonder how they recruit their customer service agents most are an arrogant and worthless bunch of people. If you ask something they will give you a scripted answer and no decency to speak politely with clients as if we are to blame for any issues and trying to judge. I had faced similar issues with a card from a proper bank and within 15 days they resolved the issue and have been very supportive never trying to imply anything or judge us. I would suggest you would be better off without this card and save a lot of headaches if you face any issues.
The worst customer service! They hang up all the time! And the cashback is shabby!

My wife got the Canadian Tire Triangle Mastercard early this year. In March, we noticed three suspicious transactions totalling $36. We paid the full amount and then called their customer service (an inexperienced lazy bunch of people) and told him about the suspicious payments. We know they won’t cover us for that so told him to cancel the credit card and he said it’s done. Later on, we got a supplementary card from them that totally didn’t make any sense to accept so it’s still lying stick to the paper as we didn’t activate it.
Now, they are calling me and my wife to pay $87 more for the purchases and late payments... If the card was cancelled after paying in full, how come she made other purchases? And how come they are sending the supplementary card? On top of that, the amount is claimed on the new card that she didn’t even activate yet. Stay away from them. They are robbers!
My credit rating is awesome. And you declined me having your credit card. So I got approved for another credit card after being declined for yours!! LoL
I made a payment on my card as usual, but for no reason at all, it put all the funds on hold for two weeks, and when I called to figure it out. The person working for Triangle was not able to give me any good information on why my funds had a 2-week hold on them.

Waiting on hold for customer service for over an hour is one thing. But then they got horrible elevator music playing as loud as possible, won’t do callbacks, and had a lady saying “Our representatives are busy, continue to hop” an unnecessary once every 30 seconds. With over an hour of waiting I’m ready to blow my brains out. Super annoying to deal with overall.

Customer Service reps can hang up the phone on you if they can't or don't want to answer your question.
For example, I spoke to transaction disputes department and asked a question when and how I can see online that the disputed transaction is posted on my account (moved from Pending status to Posted). The rep kept repeating that it takes 3-5 business days for a transaction to post on the account and that I should call them back to check.
She ignored my question on how I can see that online myself without the need to spend time and call them.
Phone calls usually involve being transferred and put on hold multiple times resulting in a significant wasted time for the client. Sometimes the phone call just disconnects while you are being put on hold, and you have to start over...
Very frustrating!
