A joke

If I could give 6 stars I would!
Wow, what can I say? An unbelievably easy and smooth process!!!
Can’t say enough good things… Very kind individuals who handled my claim. Very professional and courteous! Thank you VERY much!!!
Almost 2 years later & my truck is still not fixed to the way it was before getting hit by a runaway shotcrete trailer... I got nothing good to say about ICBC or the Fiji island collision shop, terrible workmanship by the collision shop! ICBC absolutely doesn’t care about anyone but their bonuses!
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
My car was written off over two months ago by a drunk driver while I was sleeping at 3 am. He wrote off my car and crashed into my yard. I had to sell my motorcycle and buy another car because of how long it is taking to deal with it. 2 months just to get it towed away. I had to keep it insured as well and the city of Nanaimo even threatened to tow it because it is an eye soar. My smashed car is still insured and I might see some money for it next year. Who knows. Pretty unacceptable.
An absolute nightmare for a company to deal with. I was t-boned back in October making a left-hand turn. I was initially given 100% fault, which was then reversed to 0% since the cab driver who hit me was driving in the bus lane. My original adjustor, Shandi, was rude to my Dad and me. She told me I should feel bad for the driver I hit, even though I did not hit anyone. Even if this accident was my fault, what kind of adjustor says that to their client? She also failed to investigate properly; if she had simply taken the time to look up the HOV signs, she would have realized the cab was not allowed to drive in that lane. I even sent her photos of the signs, making her job 10x easier. She told me the person making a left-hand turn is always at fault, which is false. The only helpful person I spoke to was Desiree, a manager who reversed my fault. ICBC is a black hole of emailing just not to get a response or waiting 2 hours on hold to speak to someone who tries cutting you short. Not to mention, I went 2 months without a courtesy car because they told me I was not eligible to drive one since I was not 21 years old. Therefore, I spent 2 months taking Uber, public transit, and getting rides with friends; all things ICBC is supposed to reimburse you for. Since my adjustor never told me I could be reimbursed for these expenses, I didn't keep any of my receipts and now am being told I cannot be compensated. I am still dealing with this accident 10 months later, with a new adjustor who is just as bad as Shandi. I don't see this being resolved for a very long time. If I could give 0 stars on this review, I would.
I had recently replaced my original very good windshield for my car worth 1200$. I had never had issues with my windshield since I bought this car. But it cracked and had to replace it. I chose an authorized glass shop because they came to my address to do the replacement. Two months after I moved as usual my inside mirror and it came off talking out a piece of my windshield. The Shop AGS Port Coquitlam barely scheduled me “a courtesy” replacement. I called ICBC and the manager but they are useless. Just think of the type of business ICBC is doing authorizing all shops to replace a 1200$ windshield with an after-market one worth 350$. Shame on you ICBC! After all these money we are paying, as a customer, I felt not only unprotected but I had to deal with a manager that doesn’t even read my emails and he barely calls back. An incorrect business which officially is stealing from the value of cars. ICBC encourages after-market cheap products and the CEO of this company is earning at least 2 million dollars per year!!!
Took them over 5 months to get me a windshield. In that 5 months, I was paying full price for my insurance when they deemed it undrivable 5 months ago. They will and can take anything out of your bank account if they have your details. Without ever saying sorry here's the difference that we weren't supposed to take. Also, I signed the paper for 6 months of insurance in October it's July and they still take money monthly. They are scammers. I'm starting to hate BC because of them. I would never recommend getting your license through ICBC. Stay away. Would be better to move.
I was stopped at a seed light and got rear-ended by a drunk driver. The car that I had recently purchased was totalled by ICBC. It took three weeks for them to let me know that they decided to write it off. The damage was not even that bad in the first place! After another week they came back with an offer way below the market value! The stupid adjuster told me to send her listings of my car proving that it was worth more, and so I did! For nothing!! They just came back with a dumb excuse, I had to accept their stupid offer because I didn’t want to deal with them anymore. I wish BC would privatize car insurance this is unacceptable! Now they told me I need to return the loaner, and that my check will be mailed in 10 days!!! How am I supposed to go to work, I live 70km from my workplace! I’m just so so disappointed, and my adjuster had no remorse or empathy for anyone. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND! I hope life teach these ICBC adjusters what it feels like. I wish I could just go to another insurance company, seriously considering moving to another province just so I don’t have to deal with these clowns.
I am so totally pleased with the way that ICBC estimator in Duncan has handled my claim for tires lost in the fire.
Thank you
To whom it may concern,
On March 17th at 2:30 AM,
Some person drove off the Highway ran over 6 delineators and across my Nabors driveway and just missed the tree and the telephone pole then proceeded across our yard and driveway and into my wife’s car then pushed our car completely across our driver sideways before it stopped, then the driver who was not hurt from the impact Since this has happed we have contacted ICBC and have to pick an autobody repair shop as we were asked to do from ICBC, after that, we were told that we were in the queue for an adjuster to look at our car we have contacted ICBC again to see what kind of time frame we were looking at before a decision is made we were told two to three weeks before an adjuster would be able to look over our car. When I called the 1-800 representative again, she just said that we are in the queue but would not give us a ballpark time frame on any answers, I explained that this is upsetting to us and are not getting any answers. I explained that our insurance will be running out soon and we will not be renewing it for a car that is sitting at an impound yard that we can’t drive as well as we have been making payments on a car that we are unable to be drive, we have had no answers from ICBC on what time frame it could be or even get the adjuster to look over our car. We have been left hanging without any answer to what is happening. This has been a traumatic experience for us as well as a financial uncertainty due to no fault of our own. I personally felt that this could have been handled much better by the staff from ICBC other than being told that we are in the queue. We are the innocent victims here my wife hasn’t even owned her car for a year yet.
My wife has worked very hard to save and build up her credit to buy a decent car with very low KM that is safe and reliable for her to get back and forth to work. We have been getting to the point that we have even discussed hiring a lawyer to investigate this matter on our behalf because we are not happy with the responses and attitude that we have been getting back from ICBC.
Now it is May 09, 2022. Now we finally received a call from ICBC telling us that our insurance is due for renewal, and we must renew with full coverage because our insurance piggybacks on the rental car that we have so my wife can go to work and pay for the full coverage of insurance and make her payments on her car that we don’t have. Due to this person hitting her car in our driveway at 2:30 am, but the person from ICBC explained that we are now second in the queue to have an adjuster look at our Car that is in a tow yard. If any other private business treated their customers in this fashion, they would be out of business quickly.
Sincerely unsatisfied ICBC customers...

Regardless of whether I should bear 100% responsibility for this car accident or not, ICBC's treatment of me has been highly inappropriate. Their actions subjected me to a distressing experience, leading to both mental stress and additional physical pain.
Throughout my interaction with ICBC during the claims process, there were concerning instances of wrongful treatment and unfair practices by ICBC staff. Initially, they altered my information to place the blame entirely on me for the accident. When I discovered these discrepancies and requested corrections, they did make adjustments but continued to assert that the fault lay entirely with me. They even provided reasons to support their decision, which appeared biased.
I also have particular concerns regarding the communication and responsiveness of ICBC staff members. Their communication with me has been notably lacking in terms of timeliness and accuracy. One sent me a few emails to which I responded, but regrettably, there was no subsequent reply. Furthermore, he has not engaged in effective phone communication, resorting only to leaving voicemail messages, and he has not responded when I attempted to return his calls. Another instance is other rep, who emailed me a report detailing ICBC's work on my claim case. However, the information in her email appeared to be inaccurate, suggesting that ICBC's record-keeping processes may be less than precise.
