Their staff is so rude and unprofessional. They always lie to you and take half the information when they quote you. But later at the time of policy effective date, they change their amount and tell you they did not have that information. They are so rude, I do not understand even if they know the meaning of customer service. I am talking about my experience at the time of taking a quote. Claim experience? Even can't imagine what they are going to do. They are the worst worst worst insurance company. They are so unprofessional that they are not ready to listen to you. Keep away from this insurance company if you want to stay away from rude liars and unprofessional people.
It appears that I was double billed and this company since August 2018 owes me well over a $1018.00 and I have attempted several times to have this issue rectified to no avail. Each time I call I get a different agent and they won't put me through to the agent I was dealing with and so the process starts all over again. I have been told numerous times that my account is with the finance people and they are creating a cheque for me? It has now been over 2 months and still no resolve. The last time I called I asked for the claims agent manager only to be told he was gone for the day much like my previous claims agent I've spoken with. Small claims court, here we come! If you are smart - don't deal with these individuals!
Hey, Morgex/Johnson/RSAGroup/Unifund (all one company now). Your adjusters are horrible, lazy and incompetent. Not one of them has shown any empathy on my no-fault accident/claim and it's been 4 months now and I've received no compensation for the loss of my vehicle. They don't answer phone calls and don't return calls. Everyone beware. Avoid this company, RSA Group and its affiliates, Unifund, Johnson, and Morgex.
It's too bad you have to deal with Johnson's to get Unifund Insurance. My claim was dealt with by Unifund, who was very pleasant to deal with. My concerns are with the bad customer service that Johnson's offers. The reps are unbelievably rude. I simply couldn't get over how bad my telephone conversations went (I spoke with three different reps, two out of the three were just awful, and not pleasant). I waited over 45 minutes to get my call answered in the queue only to have my call hung up on TWICE. Once my call got through, I had the joy of dealing with extremely bad customer service. It's just not acceptable and it's sad to finish your call thinking "Wow they must really hate their job" ...ended up cancelling all my services just to be able to avoid having to deal with them ever again.
I would give less stars if I could. I have been with them since 2009 with no claims. Well, unfortunately in the last two years I have had to make two claims. Today I got the phone call that I’ve read so much about in reviews. They are dropping me. I was able to switch companies for a slight increase, unlike their affiliate that they recommended, who wanted $3600 a year for my SUV. No thanks.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Feel like being completely scammed? This insurance company might be right for you! They’ll offer extremely high insurance with lots of fine print additional costs that won’t be mentioned over the phone when you additionally sign up! Feel like escaping the hell hole that you made the mistake of falling into? You can’t! They’ll charge you for the next month’s insurance (even though you won’t be covered that month) and then return SOME* of it back after 3-4 WEEKS (*ofc this is after the penalty fee they never mentioned will be deducted!—mine was $140 for cancelling it ONE MONTH before my policy expired). These losers just can’t wait to steal your money, especially if you tell them over the phone you’re a student and the money they’re taking away from you is going towards the food you need to eat that month!
I've been with Johnsons for almost 10 years. Had 1 at-fault (hydroplaning) accident in those almost 10 years. Got a call a few days ago saying that they can not renew my insurance when it is up the end of September because I got a ticket for speeding in a school zone a year and a half ago. When asked why I was able to renew it since I got the ticket she said: "oh they must not have run your report last year." I've never heard anything so ridiculous in my life!!!
I got a quote online for Johnson Insurance. I was quoted 1392$ Canadian per annum. When I called in and spoke to a representative, I gave him my VIN number 3 times. I was told I was to provide a safety certificate which I paid 180 $. When I sent the safety in, the rep called me and said after putting in the VIN, my quote was higher even though my quote was valid for 60 days. When asked how come, I was told that I gave a different VIN over the phone. Impossible as I gave it to him 3 times after him telling me that the car did not show up. I verified 3 times. He then said he was sure the mistake was mine. I then asked him to go and listen to the so-called recorded conversation. He had no explanation and was rude and told me if I wanted to go ahead with the new quote, I was to let him know. I felt totally lied to and cheated. Never again would I deal with Johnson Insurance or refer them. Real scoundrels.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
I have nothing but difficulties with this company. I was rear-ended 15 months ago and it was placed as my fault because the other guy had a good company. The worst part is no one, even supervisors, calls back. The claims person I dealt with was condescending and rude.
My daughter has been under my policy for 7 years. She then had an accident. A deer hit her vehicle. She had just finished university and was hoping to drive her car for another couple of years to pay off school debt. The car was written off and she was told she would get a cheque for $2500. She had no money for a down payment for another vehicle which she required to get to and from work. She called several times a week, e-mailed several times a week. No return call, no return email, no insurance money. Very poor customer service. Now once the contract of our entire family is done (about 7 people), we are all leaving this company. This is horrible customer service. What a way to see what the real world is like.
