My son had an emergency appendicitis on a trip to Iceland and we bought insurance from CheapOair, which didn't cover us. So we were down to the last resort - TD First Class Credit Card Travel Insurance and we were fortunate to qualify based on these criteria: my son is a student, no prior history, trip was between 7 and 21 days, he was checked out by family physician and ER doctor, which urged an emergency surgery and we reported within 48 hours of the surgery. So we are thankful we got the 6K that we paid, but you have to be patient with them - took 10 weeks to process
Love this card! We book all of our travel through ExpediaForTD and redeem all of our points on ExpediaForTD as well. This essentially gives us 4.5% cash back on the money we spend at Expedia! ExpediaForTD has access to all of Expedia's inventory, and we have found that it is often slightly cheaper.
