I purchased one item using the credit card as it was offered at the store as a special offer. I paid the credit card as the bill came in. Next month I'm charged interest because of a "late payment". I'm never late and have not had an interest charge on any other credit card I have. The same day I received the interest charge. I went to the store and paid my $1.30 of interest. I just received my new bill and there is an interest fee due of one cent. This card is a ripoff and reflects very poorly on Cdn Tire. I now only shop there as a last resort because of the card.
Never had so many problems with a credit card before. Fraud took 2 months to solve. Spent hours waiting on the phone waiting to talk to someone. No accès to my Canadian tire money but someone else did (fraud). Unable to have answer or when I did, it was wrong. Took 45 minutes for a supervisor to take the line

I made an overpayment to Canadian Tire, I have tried for weeks to have a cheque written out and my overpayment returned. It’s been repeated phone calls and repeating myself to different customer service ppl, it’s a nightmare. Once this matter is settled I will be closing my account. There are too many cards available out there to go through this headache
Pushing people to apply for their credit at every single store and they run credit check which make you loose some credit point then they easily turn you down with decline your application. They will never say your application is declined, you'll receive a letter by mail.
Waste of time!
It takes a lot to get cash rewards. I would rather have airlines or travel rewards instead of having to use it back at Canadian tire

I am currently fighting a charge that was applied to my card without me making a purchase. This credit card company keeps giving me the runaround about it. They can see the charge on the statement, they can see I did not receive the product and that the online order was cancelled. Each time I get on the phone they start the process over and I’m to wait another 5-7 business days. This time, I got close to the person that can actually help and the call “mysteriously” got dropped (he hung up).
This card company and Canadian tire seem to make money off people by charging your card for items you don’t buy and then give you the run around when you dispute it hoping you will forget about it. This is over a $500 charge, too bad for them I won’t go away. It’s not the money anymore, it’s the principle of it. Banks continuously get people's hard-earned money and get richer and richer off the backs of real working people.
As a person with multiple accounts, I got the first NSF fee on the card so I called in for some help. Other banks are helpful in waiving the first fee but CT won't help no matter what. At one point the customer service shouted back at me". If you can pay for other bank's NSF fee why can't you pay for ours?". I was totally speechless. One of the most regretful credit cards I ever had in Canada.
It’s a complete nightmare whether your card will go through at a store or not. You can use the card dine once and a second store a few minutes later the card will decline. It picks and chooses at what your purchases are, and how much you can spend even with several thousand dollars credit available on your account. It is a complete joke. You can’t even log in to pay your bill and resetting your password! They never send you emails to correct this problem.

Horrible customer service, rude and condescending when they are completely in the wrong. I'm consistently making payments online and in-store which makes the credit instantly available yet they randomly apply the payment to my balance any day they please. It shows up 1-7 business days after I’ve made it and however it's most beneficial to them. They never have a plausible answer and are always looking to get you off the phone as soon as possible. DO NOT get this card unless it is absolutely your only option.
First I was misguided by this credit card application guy who caught me in Canadian Tire and instead of upgrading my Options Card, he has made another application for the World Elite card, which has caused only trouble. When called in to activate the new World Elite and cancel the old one after talking for quite some time with the first rep while putting in the new pin for the card, I was transferred to another (instead of back to original) representative, who restarted the whole process and took even more time. When logging into my online credit card account, I cannot add a new card when clicking on the Add Card button, the browser simply redirects back into options page, in Chrome and Safari browsers, so there is a bug in the software. Total Disappointment!
