The customer service agents always seem lost, always have to go ask someone for help, and somehow still end up not knowing what they're talking about.
But what has prompted this review is their collections department. I usually pay bills on time, but shit happens and I've unfortunately been hearing from a number of collections departments. Most are kind and understanding. They ask why you're behind if you can pay anything, when you can pay, and try to set up a payment plan. They're grateful when I say I don't need a payment plan, I'll catch up on a specific date. PC is just dehumanizing. They make a bad situation worse and leave me feeling horrible, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd pushed someone on the edge of suicide before. My mental health certainly nose dives whenever I speak with them. I answer, and they say it's PC and I say something like "I'll catch up on Friday" and they say "do you know you owe $165?" And I say "yes, I'll catch up on Friday" and they say "if you don't pay now it will affect your credit score" and I say "I literally have no money until Friday. There is about $3 in my bank account right now." And they suddenly get aggressive and say "can you pay $65?" And I say "look, I told you I have no money, I literally don't even know how I'm feeding my family this week, I'll pay you on Friday" and they start *yelling* at me and making threats about credit scores and how horrible my life will be if I don't pay some minimum amount when I have already told them I have nothing to give. And then I start crying and hang up. And then someone calls the next day and says "oh, looks like you got disconnected" and the whole conversation happens again.
Every other company is like "you can pay Friday? Can you pay a smaller amount sooner? No? OK. We'll stop bugging you for now and watch for that payment, thank you."
After 4 days of having my MasterCard, I made a $208 charge and received a text to validate the charge. I sent "Valid" as requested and the response I received said to call a 1-800 number. I was on hold for 75 minutes then got hung up on in a transfer.
I found another number and sent emails to various PC Finance locations and got a call back within 5 minutes.
The trick is to email and receive a callback, it seems.

Numerous requests for statements to back up the balance due were ignored for almost a year and still waiting... Trying to pay an account here on behalf of an ailing relative but just keep getting demands from the Collection agency. No response to letters requesting statements, which stopped last August. I would not recommend PC Financial M/C or its financial services if this is the best they can do.
I had a limit of $3000. Then all of a sudden $4000 shows up on my card. They can’t figure out why and won’t give me my money back. One employee blamed it on internet charges. $1000 interest charges!?! That’s ridiculous and a blatant lie!!! I will never bank with this awful company again!!!
There was fraud activity that happened on my account. On calling PC one of the representatives told me that this happened on their behalf, it wasn't fraud and the amount will be refunded. After a month-long wait, nothing reverted. On the second time call, they said it was a fraud activity by someone and nothing was on their behalf. I requested again to settle down this problem but after another month, they didn't come up with any solution. All the time I had to be there in queue for hours. Now finally they waved off the fraud charges but kept on charging me interest associated with this transaction despite making a complaint several times. Their representatives don't know how to handle the situation.

They're all nice and good at first then suddenly if you're a day late on paying because you're supposed to know it takes them 5 business days to post your payment. This isn't true, my bank said once I made a payment it's made in real-time. They harass me constantly even when I pay on time. The customer service representative just wants to fight with you. I left them and never go back.
You need to wait 3 hours to get a chance to talk to a customer service representative. I have charged a $25 cash equivalent fee and I asked if it is possible to cancel it, but the answer is NO!
When transactions are downloaded for quicken and you attempt to reconcile the account, the outstanding balance (the amount you owe) shows up as a positive figure.
The outstanding balance in quicken is of course a negative number so the account does not reconcile. When I called customer service I was informed that PC Financial Mastercard does not support downloads to Quicken despite the fact that there is a link "Export to Quicken" on their website.
This does not happen with any other financial institution with which I have dealings.

They don’t answer the phone, they charged me fees without letting me know and can’t talk to customer service until you have 2-3 hours of free time.
I had to go thru different departments to resolve the issue. I finally hung up after spending so much time on hold.
One of the worst and unprofessional services is provided by PC Mastercard.

I was dealing with PC Financial when I had a dispute over a purchase where I did not receive the product I was supposed to get. Not only was customer service awful ( wait times over 2 hours, only to speak with a representative who was unknowledgeable about the process) but the company offered me no help at all. Even when I went to put my card on hold as a precaution, the company said they would, and then when I went to test it, didn't. It may be seen as a cheap option, but when you really need your credit card to do as it is meant to (which is to protect the user), it will fail every time. My first review I've ever written because it was an appealing experience.
