I have been paying for PC protection for a few years I am self-employed so I call up because there is no work to get my payments made to find out that they do not cover self-employed. So I get a job get laid off after 5 months call up to get payments made still not able to get it you have to qualify for it but not enough weeks to qualify. So again can't get it.

Morally bankrupt company

Over a year ago, I got into financial difficulties when my personal world dissolved. (End of marriage and blindsided by all the debt as spouse left the country and I was left with it all.) I fell behind on my payments with my PC card. I caught up as soon as I was able and contacted the company for help. Rather than assist they chose to shut down my card (fair) and charge me an additional 8% interest per month. Now, I paid that additional 8% dutifully and ALWAYS paid more than the minimum owed. So COVID happens, and I can no longer pay their ridiculous interest. I called and spoke to 5 different supervisors, 3 of which say, "I can't offer you a settlement amount, but my manager can." And I waited 3 weeks for ANY manager to call me back. Come to be told, the ONLY way I can get out of this hell hole is to go through Debt consolidation. As asking for a settlement amount or a credit of 4% of the absolute ridiculous interest rate they tacked on, DURING A FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, is too much (as it would wipe out 55% of my balance.) So congratulations PC Financial, you go down in my books as the worst company I've ever dealt with, your greed has taken you from any sort of humanity. Congrats on charging me an additional $2500 in interest on a $2700 balance in one year. Do NOT sign up for ANY of their services.
