What a joke

I applied to get my credit card 2 months ago from Capital One because I’m a regular Costco customer, they gave me a temporary card and they were supposed to send me a permanent card, and I never received it, I phoned them to see why and they said that they had my address wrong, so they asked me again for all my information in order to send me another card and again I never received it, so I phone again hahahahaha and they said it was weird, so they send me a third one by express post, I finally received it and I phoned them to activate it and they said "Ok, everything is good now, you can use it", so I tried to use it and it was not working, I phoned again and the agent representative told me that they have to send me another one hahahahahaha I totally refused his offer and I asked him to cancel my account and everything, they have really poor and inefficient service... what can I expect from a small bank? Tomorrow I will go to get a real card from a real bank!!! It is disappointing and at the end of the way I don’t feel comfortable because I don’t know where my information is, should be somewhere in the city :(

Horrible

Horrible customer service, no respect when HAD to switch from AMX...would not adjust limits for bigger purchases. They didn't even come close to what AMX was, & we always carry a zero balance with no debts. Said not biased but everyone I talked to was given different amounts, 2 years later they never raised, even my spouse got a different amount. Had questions about other things and would never get a straight answer. Long waits, rude. Bad move on Costco. We use a different M/C now

Joke of a card

The Capital One credit card is a joke. I get it with an 8k limit but I charge around 40k per month on my Presidents Choice financial card. I was talked into this card at costco and when I called they said they could not raise the limit for 1 year because I am a new client. So I charged about 3 times the 8k limit by paying it off and charging again. I did that for two months and tired of that so I overpaid my card by 5k thinking it could be applied to my credit limit. Well I was wrong, I charged 8k and its been 11 days and it still says I have no credit limit left when I clearly overpaid my card by 5k. I call in and they said overpayments dont count and I asked how it could take 11 days after it said payment processed to apply it to my account. I am going back to my credit card and have applied for MBNA, maybe I will have better luck there. Costco should know that the company told me they are not in the business of giving credit and the card is only meant to be used at costco. Yikes, what a response from Capital One, a joke of a credit card company.

Terrible customer service

Ever since they "upgraded" their website back in September 2017, it has not been working. Their so called upgrade forced ALL members to sign up for an online account again. The worst part: the system does not recognize existing customers. That resulted in basically everyone calling their customer service line. It took me at least 7 businesses days to get through their long wait times. I can only spare so much of my precious time but over the course of 3 different calls, I was on hold for a total of over 3 hours. The first time I went through the auto prompts and selected the correct option. A live agent finally picked up after i was on hold for 55 mins then she tells me I have to speak to someone else for this issue. I said no that's not acceptable since this was the correct option & I've waited about an hour already. She insisted and rudely put me on hold again. I waited another 45 mins then had to go to work. UNBELIEVABLE. I got nowhere that day and has to waste more time on my days off. So after that nightmare of just resetting my account, I was able to view my account for maybe 1 week. Since that time in September, theit site has been down. It's now Oct. 25th. Are they that cheap that they can't find proper computer techs to fix this?!?! One whole month of a site being down - that's embarrassing Capital One. Your company is lucky to be associated with Costco. The least you can do is send paper statements to all your customers during this ridiculous downtime. I have no idea how much I owe and when to pay up. Why should you care since its MY credit history that this will impact. Get your act together!!!!!!

Waste of time on hold forever

Unbelievable! I lost my card so I called in and waited 30 minutes to speak to a live agenet after speaking to him about losing my card he kept putting me on hold and was unable to resolve my issue. I asked him if he knew what he was doing and told me he'd have to speak to a supervisor! and put me on hold for an additional 25 minutes surely because I told him if he knew what he was doing. You'd think they would receive training on basic customer issues like losing your card. Total disrespect for a customer's time and needs. Capital one you need to either train your employees better on how to do their daily tasks or higher more people. Waiting close to an hour is unacceptable!

Worst card yet, don't get it

First of all, they changed their online banking, I was trying to log in with my app and had to spend 15 minutes to set up my online banking "AGAIN". after that I finally got to log in and then I get an error message once logged in, so I made a payment to the card regardless as I did not know my balance or due date. when I was able to log in on my PC at home I realized that the payment I made a week ago did not go through! I called, waited for 60 minutes, no answer, called later in the same day, another 70 minutes on hold, no answer, called a third time same day another long wait no answer, the next day I see the payment was processed exactly 8 days later! causing me to go over-limit and pay an outrageous amount in interest that if I do the calculation it would equate to more than the interest rate posted roughly 31%. The next thing I did is pay off the balance and now I am calling to cancel the card and guess what, no answer again after 45 minutes, at least this time I could login to their terrible online banking site to see the balance. Now I can't cancel this card without wasting numerous hours of my time of which I already spent over 3 hours waiting and no contact yet. This is the worst card that I've ever used. worst and longest wait time, worst Online banking site and contact methods, I only got it because I use Visa and in Canada Costco accepts MC. Moving forward I'll use my debit card and won't ever deal with Coast Capital at any cost.

There is a reson it is "free"

Capital one is absolutely the worst company for credit card out there. Terrible customer service, barley any added feature that you can not get on other free cards. Good luck getting a hold of a person or getting help for anything. Worst online system. Absolutely garbage. Shame on Costco for switching from AMEX to these clowns. Their site is always down and then randomly locks you out then you have to call and be on hold for hours to get through to anyone, who typically are somewhere remote and barley speak English. Your rebate will be in the mail with snailmail and may get lost....do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this excuse of company for credit card provider.

Capital One MasterCard BAD

Capital One Mastercard has the one of the worst customer experiences on this planet we call earth. I honestly don't know how they are in business. Also, they have tens of thousands of 5 star reviews on their website. Do they know it's illegal to write and publish fraudulent reviews? I've been placed on hold day after day while trying to activate my Capital One Costco Mastercard. If I didn't like Costco so much I would have bailed. I fear Capital One is hurting Costco's reputation by offering horrid service while being attached to Costco's brand. In summary, Capital One sucks. They must hate their customers with a passion. Whey I finally got to a human he sounded angry. He was a man who hates his job. His hatred his employer, Capital One, their customers and life itself was clearly communicated through his tone of voice. Capital one must treat their employees as poorly as they treat their customers. My recommendation when applying for a Capital One MasterCard. "DON'T!!!" There are a lot of better cards out there. After days and days of calling them I still don't have an active card. Capital One Mastercard SUCKS! If I could give a minus 5 star review I would.

NEW WEBSITE SUCKS

Things were not so bad with the old website. I also was on the phone waiting for close to 4 hours trying to log on to the NEW glorious website. I am still having trouble logging on at times. Also the so called improved new website is horrible. Whoever designed it should be fired. I hope the glitches can be worked out,but for now I would give it "0" Stars if I could. Come on Capitol One. You can do better than this.

Worst customer service

If your card is compromised and you want to reach customer service you can not reach them. For three days I called and hold for 45 minutes to an hour but no response. Costco should think again about this stupid company before renewing the partnership.
