It is very difficult to pay this credit card unless you have tangerine as your current account. My experience is that I had to transfer funds from my hsbc current account to a tangerine saving account and then pay my credit card from the saving account. Tangerine would randomly place transfers on hold.
Their customer service is worse than other banks and their app is not the most intuitive to use.
By far the worst customer service of any product; try speaking to a real person and the wait is 30+ minutes. I’m sure you want to wait that long to report a stolen card. As for mine? The card did not recognize the pin number so charges automatically went through. Am cancelling this card asap.

Worst customer service ever!!
I called August 13th because my card has been charged fraudulently for almost 1200$. The men told me it would be solved within a month. Nothing changed on my account. I called 5 times this week and nobody can tell me what’s happening, being transfer and hung up every time I call. Still on hold as I’m writing this review. HORRIBLE SERVICE STAY AWAY!!!
Their phone service is the WORST in the entire world. I called them on August 28, 2022, about an unauthorized charge to my account for $246.75. I spent 45 minutes explaining to three different people this charge and they decided to cancel my card and replace it and would credit my account shortly thereafter. I was told to pay the full balance of the account and they would put the credit on my next statement.
Today Sept 23, 2022, I called as this credit was not on my new statement and spent 2.45 hours on the phone and speaking to 4 different people none of which could solve this problem with the last one who transfers me to their security department which never answers their phone after 23 minutes at which point I gave up.
Thus my problem is not solved and I shall most likely never use this credit card again.
Also, I am sure anyone else using their phone service will agree that it is a monstrosity.
You CAN"T reach them via chat, reach them via email, can't reach via message, all the systems come back with "error" or "service is currently unavailable". It was like this last year, and when I tried to reach them it is still the same.
The only way to get anything done (even the smallest thing) is to Call, go on hold for 45, 70, or 90 minutes, and talk to an agent who doesn't know anything, must always put you back on hold to ask someone... Either Customer-service is Outsourced overseas or they are High-school students with no training - or maybe they are elementary school kids (actually that is unlikely since most students at our elementary school would probably do a better job)...
Useless company!
I will cancel my TAngerine accounts. There is no way I am giving these people one extra $ of profit...

Never in my life, have I will wait for French service on the phone for more than an hour... never!!! I will cancel this week Mastercard Tangerine!
I called back and I pressed for English service and wait for 1 min to get somebody on the phone!
Tangerine you just lost me forever!
My husband misplaced his card. He made three attempts to cancel/put his card on hold (not asking for a replacement). He couldn't do it because they were not satisfied with their "authentication". Being the primary cardholder, I stepped in and went thru the verification process, still couldn't get it done, as the agent need to contact the credit bureau, etc. I have credit cards with other banks. Never imagined it would be this difficult to cancel a misplaced card. I can't help thinking if this is a stolen card situation, who is going to be responsible for the fraudulent charges while they are taking their sweet time to cancel the card? What if you are overseas and lost your card... I cancelled my MasterCard account. Hope this information will help anyone trying to decide which credit card to get.
Long waits (over 1 hour)... totally useless customer services-doesn't even have basic maths skills. Credit card gets blocked frequently when making a large transaction at local reputable merchants. Just contacting their F&S department is like finding snow in hell.

This was supposed to be a great credit card for cashback. It was bad. They found reasons to not give me rewards or give me the lowest possible percentage that they could. Also - their service was awful. On hold forever - Regularly telling me that they were experiencing higher than expected call volume - REALLY. I expect that the call volume has to do with how bad their service is and how pathetic their rewards are. I was trying to cancel my card for the poor service - being on hold for over 40 minutes certainly solidified that cause.

I reported fraud on my card and received a new card. Charges were still allowed to go on my old card by vendors who had my old card on file; the charges just went onto my new card. I explained the problem to customer service and the daftness was unbearable. They didn’t see this as a problem, and gave me pat/trained responses and apologies. They reassured me that by pausing my new this card this would prevent any new charges, when I had cancelled/reported fraud on my old card, and charges were still being made on my old card!?
The hours I spent on hold/trying to reach customer service, have still not resolved my issue. I will close out my account after I pay my final balance but in the meantime I’m very stressed that vendors, fraudsters, and scammers will still be allowed to use my card and even worse, that I might have to try and reach/talk to Tangerine customer service again.
