Worst insurance ever

by Mergim on Mar 22, 2022

Wait until you cancel it. I was paying $118 per month on my car insurance and when I cancelled it I got another charge of $420. I spoke to one of the agents and they never explained to me full details of this charge other than the system generating the contract cancellation fees. If I would rate them I would give them -5. DON'T EVER GO WITH THEM

Very very very bad insurance, everything looks great until you make a claim!

If I can give minus stars I will give minus millions of trillions of stars, this company is not responsible nor respectful to their customers. After filing a claim, the assigned person never answers the phone nor email message. After over more than a month, tried to make complaints, the assigned person show up, and the only thing he did is tell you that this company do not responsible for the backorder part, which is against law. Moreover, he always tries to take back the rental car without fixing the insured car. Then the company does not answer your message anymore.

Worst Insurance Company in the world

by Wren on Mar 8, 2022

If I could give Sonnet below 1 star I would! They are absolutely terrible. They are scammers! They just take your monthly premium... It took 9 months to fix my car! They never call you... They don't even respond to emails. The worst experience I have ever had and their rates are not good!

If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.

Don't buy if you don't drive in winter

Same price to park the vehicle as regular insurance. Not worth. Cancelled it just before one month still they charged me the full cancellation fee plus one extra month. Total 537$ for nothing. My record is clear and I had 6 years of experience. Still, crazy price got way cheaper insurance now.
Stay away guys no one is here to help you. They making money nothing else...

Worst experience ever - don't get scam

by Pamela on Feb 15, 2022

At first, I signed up with Sonnet because of their competitive prices. But don't be a fool like me, they take the money but then when it's time to give you the service for a reclamation they are not there. I made a reclamation on December 29th. I am writing this review on February 15th, I had a total car loss and haven't yet received any news on what they are gonna pay me and what are the options. We're close to the 60 days law now and I'll have to deal with the AMF for further actions. Tried to call Sonnet, tried to send them a complaint but I don't have a callback or an email reply. Save yourself some peace of mind and pay a little more with another company.

Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.

Total scam

After filling out their online information, (hid nothing) full disclosure) I get a pretty good quote for full coverage. Now my car is financed. Sonnet then a week later decided to
reduce my coverage to liability only. No
warning nothing, to
make
attest worse I have now paid this policy in full. I now have to get new auto insurance in place to pay again. All while Sonnet was paid in full at the time of my new quote. They tell me sorry but go
ahead and cancel your current policy and we should have your money back to you in 30 days!
I feel this is absolutely criminal!

The worst experience I have ever had in car insurance. I had to call 5 times for a claim and after 20 days my car is still not repaired. Definitely, I do not recommend this company.

Stay away!

After a serious car accident when I was travelling with my vehicle at the cottage, they have not responded to a report nor sent an evaluator.
This is normally done within 48 hours.
I'm left to go home on my own, without a vehicle and without a courtesy vehicle.
Agents are useless because they can't open your file (outsourced I guess).
It may be simple and easy to get insured and take your money, but they have zero customer service when it counts.

STAY AWAY

We had a no-fault insurance claim go through sonnet. The other driver was visiting Canada, from the USA. Sonnet took 8 days to file a claim. They did the estimate using 15 comparable cars to get the evaluation. I asked them to use only 5 ( you can do that ), they told me that it would not be fair to the other insurance company to do it that way. That is not working in the best interest of your client who pays insurance to you when it's not your fault in the accident. Sonnet also told me that I would not get my deductible back because they were going to keep it because the USA does not recognize no-fault insurance. When I researched it, some US states do, and the one that hit me did recognize no-fault.
Sonnet would not help me at all, or work in my best interest. They maybe a cheap company but that is all they are good for. Build up your insurance with them first (pray you do not get in an accident ) then go find another insurance company that works for you.
