We received our renewal, our rates had exactly doubled. We thought it was an error. After several calls, we finally spoke with an associate. They confirmed that the increase was correct and that it was to keep competitive in the market. Being a couple with a pristine driving record this was unacceptable. We shopped around and moved on.
If you are planning to be fully insured with this company you will be sadly mistaken. If the accident is a small amount and/or the fault is not yours, you will get the best service ever. Now if it's the opposite this is their game. The appraiser or the adjuster will never contact you. If you attempt to contact them you will never get anywhere. The appraiser will have the car repaired even though it's not repairable but you have a vehicle that is not road safe. If you attempt to reach the manager, oh she is not available either. You file a complaint through the complaints department they also don't respond. This is the schtick for this company. Although this is not my personal experience, I'm currently witnessing it with a loved one. I currently have my home and auto with this company and I am leaving. God forbid my home burns down, I would be homeless with any assurance that his company behaves professionally.

My policy went up twice in two years even though I had no accidents and only one minor speeding ticket (out of 3 I have had my entire life). When I asked them why it went up (after waiting on the phone for over an hour) they told me that other Johnson insured individuals made claims that they couldn't afford, so their customers were being charged more to cover the costs...excuse me? I finally decided to cancel. When I did, they told me I would be refunded in 5-10 business days. I waited. It didn't come, so, once again, I contacted Johnson and they informed me that it would take over a month for me to have my funds returned. They do not communicate well, they do not care about you, and they do not give the best rates. There are other places you can go. Trust me. I'm saving just under 500 dollars a year since I switched from Johnson.
