Not impressed with service

by Silke on Jan 22, 2020
1 out of 5 stars

My premium has gone up by 48% from the last term to this coming term, which is appalling! I was involved in an accident in November, which was zero fault of my own. I was safely driving on the highway when I was hit by a truck that pushed me into other cars - it was a horrible experience, but was not due to my driving - so why have my insurance rates gone up so much and so suddenly. We are supposed to have “no-fault” insurance, and my driving behaviour has not changed - I have had no fines, tickets or points, and have an excellent driving record. Also, because I was never offered Gap or Depreciation insurance on my policy - I had to pay $11,000 out of my savings to cover my car loan. THIS is AWFUL SERVICE, and I want to be sure to share with others my experience I have always been very happy with all things associated with President’s Choice, so I am very disappointed.

Worst Broker I have dealt with. They first got all my addresses wrong. Once they finally fixed that my rates kept increasing. I had had enough and when I wanted to cancel they were making it absolutely impossible and made me jump through hoops. I will never use PC for anything.

Worst

PC has increased my premium in the middle of the year for no reason. I called the broker a few times and, even, emailed them but no answer. And when called the customer service, first of all they said they don't have access to my full account and, secondly, when asked for the reason to my increased premium, they said they can hook me up with another insurance company as they don't have any control on my insurance rate even at the first place they offer me the price for the full year. Please be careful, you might think you got better rates in the beginning but once you stuck with them for the full year, you'll end up paying the high premium and even more than you think of.

Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.

Rude sales, misleading prices

In searching for a new auto and home insurance we checked out PC's online quote system and got back some really great numbers - so great that I was ready to pull the trigger. I called them and started the process and the salesman said the best quote for us was from Aviva, but the end price ended up being close to $40 more than what the online quote gave me. So I called Aviva directly and they were able to give me a quote about halfway between the online quote and the quote given to me on the phone. When I called back to my rep and explained that this was the case and I'd like them to come closer to the online quote, he became quite abrupt and rude and said there was no way that was happening. So I kept shopping and eventually called RBC Insurance, who *also* use Aviva and who gave me the *exact* quote that I had gotten through PC's online quote system initially. So we went with RBC. Don't trust PC's low prices on the quote calculator, they are not what you will get when you're on the phone with them.

Don't Take PC

by Victor on Nov 13, 2017

I definitely highly unrecommend everyone PC Insurance as a coverage.

There are many reasons behind it.

1) When I took G License, it supposed to reduce my insurance but PC never did that happened.

2) Recently I am planning to visit back home generally insurance companies help customer to waive some charges
but when I contact PC Service department they are saying I won't get any waived charges and the policy remains same.

Thank god I never met any accidents, I can assume PC can tell the third party sorry we can't pay you for your loss.

Zero Customer Value with Cheap Policy Rules.

missing points for insurance

by NOT IMPRESSED on Sep 10, 2016

I was supposed to get 3000 points each year for renewing my home insurance policy& each year I would get 3000 more points also well as what I got the previous years. So 1st year 3000, 2nd year 6000, 3rd year 9000 points to a max amt. of 30,000 pc points (just for renewing each year). The same with the auto insurance 1st year 5000 points 2nd year 10,000 points, 3rd yr. 15,000 points to a maximum of 50,000 points. Each yr. after you would continue to earn 50,000 points for 30,000 points . So this is some serious points. I had insurance for 10 years auto & home & they never put the points in my account. I had to go after them for the points - the points were automatically supposed to be put into my account. If it happened to me - how many other clients are missing points they are supposed to get automatically.
