Terrible service

1 out of 5 stars

I recently had a negative experience with this company and was disappointed with the level of service I received. My auto insurance policy was canceled because I was unable to make my payment because the agent gave me an incorrect account number! This is extremely frustrating! I reached out to the agent prior cancellation of auto insurance in a month however the agent did not respond to my email. I followed up to figure out to make the payment to avoid cancellation and she got back to me before 5 days of the cancellation. She told me that I need to make the payment through banking and she provided me with the account number to make the payment, however when I put the account number on the banking system account showed up and I emailed her back and told her that I am unable to make the payment because the account does not appear, he replied that the account information that she provided is correct, so I thought I put wrong account number so I tired multiple time but I got the same message "the account number is not valid."

I emailed her the same day however she did not answer my email, but I called her office, no answer, however, she emailed me on the date of the auto policy cancellation and informed me that my auto insurance has been canceled for nonpayment. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered.

Based on my recent experience with PC insurance, I would not recommend them to anyone. The level of service and professionalism was lacking, and it was an overall negative experience.

Can never get ahold of someone... Hours on the phone waiting on hold...

So disappointed going on 3 weeks to correct an error on monthly payments. They sure can take your money but take their sweet time returning money that should not gave been taken. Can never talk to anyone and takes days to get an on-phone appointment. Then talked down as if you are the dummy that made the mistake. Bottom line l wish l had stayed with my old insurance company.

unethical

They overcharged me and refused to reimburse me. I was overcharged over $900. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that they would speak to their supervisor, and call me back. When I asked for their Head Office number, I was told that they didn't have one. I had to Google it myself. What kind of a business does not provide the opportunity for a customer to field their complaint to a manager? Why did they lie, and say that they did not have a Head Office?

Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.

Predatory pricing

Just called PC to get insurance because their online quote was by far the cheapest, but we had a policy cancelled in 2015 due to a credit card payment not going through but it was reinstated later the same day when we sorted the problem. PC counted that as a cancellation due to nonpayment and then wanted to have us pay in full (I was happy to do so as that was the original plan) but also wanted to jack the price up by almost $400. We have never had an at-fault accident, never had a speeding ticket, no driving violations, etc, completely clean driving record and only one issue ever with payment in our history so I found the extra almost $400 they wanted to charge us to be ridiculous. So I immediately told them no and had my husband call around, we ended up going through TD, exact same history, they also had us pay in full (again, we were happy to do so as it was our original plan anyway and we understand that we're more of a risk on paper due to the payment mix up in 2015), but they didn't jack the price up and we ended up with a better policy (24/7 roadside assistance, rental vehicle covered, accident forgiveness, new vehicle replacement, etc) for a little over $300 cheaper than what PC wanted to charge us.

Avoid PC at all costs, they quote you less so you think they'll be cheaper and then they try to screw you with fees and BS extra charges.

missing points for insurance

by NOT IMPRESSED on Sep 10, 2016

I was supposed to get 3000 points each year for renewing my home insurance policy& each year I would get 3000 more points also well as what I got the previous years. So 1st year 3000, 2nd year 6000, 3rd year 9000 points to a max amt. of 30,000 pc points (just for renewing each year). The same with the auto insurance 1st year 5000 points 2nd year 10,000 points, 3rd yr. 15,000 points to a maximum of 50,000 points. Each yr. after you would continue to earn 50,000 points for 30,000 points . So this is some serious points. I had insurance for 10 years auto & home & they never put the points in my account. I had to go after them for the points - the points were automatically supposed to be put into my account. If it happened to me - how many other clients are missing points they are supposed to get automatically.
