The Cooperators are not there for you, they back down from other insurance companies eg. I had an incident and Cooperators did not back me even though I wasn’t at fault and another insurance company got away with accusing me of being at fault because their client was at fault because she was a distracted driver. Do not trust Cooperators, go to a more reliable insurance company, someone who would back the truth.
Low customer service, not polite, rude and aggressive attitude during my experience with this insurance company. Only they can rip off money, cheating and rejecting any requests.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I had my truck go into the shop for a break and enter. Decisions that were made by the claims adjuster made me without a truck for 3 months and then I get a truck back with a damaged engine and I had to foot the bill to replace the engine which made me lose my insurance should not have had to deal with this. I jumped through all their hopes. I did everything they said. It was including filing a secondary police report for vandalism but the resulting damage ended up me having a damaged engine that they wouldn't cover they still screwed me over 11 years of being with this company paying full coverage on 3 to 4 vehicles at a time. Even when I got tired of being screwed around I asked to speak to a manager. People wouldn't let me speak to a manager... That's how they run their company.
I am completely disappointed with Cooperators insurance as they neglected my claim and do not cover my 2019 Jeep Trailhawk. Their customer service will not provide me with my insurance policy contract they keep demanding my very personal information and will not cooperate with me to pay me for my stolen vehicle. I have been with Cooperators for quite some time with multiple vehicles insured under them. But my Jeep got stolen and I requested my insurance policy I signed and they will not provide it to me and they will not pay our my Jeep even though I have paid each month plus 2 extra months to keep the claim opened for an investigation to the continent but they would not finalize my claim and they have been completely ignoring me and now are because I demanded my contract they said this is the last email they are sending. They are expecting me to send them my very personal information that is none of their concern for what?? Banking, phone records, etc...
And they want me to mail them in. My banking and phone records are none of their business considering the police had done the investigation themselves and closed the file and also mentioned 2 other vehicles got stolen in the same area in that same week... I cooperated with them enough by laying another $1000 dollars to them to continue their investigation and I filed my statement and police report and their investigation is closed. This company is a complete joke! Do not trust them at all. They will keep your money and not pay you what you are entitled to and they will breach their contract by stalling conversations!
DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE COMPANY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!
Lawyer up if already have them of just get out of cancel.
I had my insurance cancelled after 10+ years. Received a letter stating I have 1 or more major criminal driving convictions when I don't have anything on my record.
Was spoken down to by Ryan, the insurance broker.
After insurance moved elsewhere a past was taken for 13/4 of the monthly payment from my bank with no explanation. I inquired and I don't get a response. Thus is how Hanover Cooperators treat their long-time customers. Brutal company and insurance broker.
They don't stand behind their policies. Do yourself a favour and insurance elsewhere. I did and found a better price.
Cooperators claim advisor Joanne K accused me of being at fault when I was hit in the rear passenger side wheel by a distracted driver while entering my hotel parking lot...
I was entering my hotel parking lot and was hit on the passenger side rear wheel by a distracted driver and Cooperators accused me of being at fault, what kind of insurance company is this? I’ve been with them for about 20 years and this is how they treat you...
The client care expert has done everything possible to not do his job. My family had been left stranded after we paid into our policy for a rental vehicle which he has refused to set up. When he said he was setting it up he would make sure he was unavailable to us and the body shop doing the repairs. He would then leave random emails stating things were getting done and disappear for days. He alone has made this experience more traumatic than the accident itself. I would advise that with these agents running the show out of Mississauga stay far far away from the Cooperators. In the end, never received the rental vehicle we paid for in our insurance policy.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
I’ve been with them for more than five years never claimed before my first time claiming and this is the experience I had. I was in a car accident in January 2022 up-to-date I still have not received a settlement. The first settlement they offered me was outright insulting for a 2013 Acura RDX no one has contacted me back since and this was a week and a half ago... They have not contacted me back with another offer it’s basically "take it or leave it" that’s the kind of attitude they have no empathy for the consumers. Most of the adjusters I’ve dealt with were rude and inconsiderate that’s all I can say.
The initial people who answered the phone did not do their job. They just transferred me from one person to another, so I was never able to provide full information about the accident. Even though the other person admitted fault, Cooperators said that I was at fault. Apparently, when an accident takes place in a mall parking lot the damage claim is split 50-50. However, if one of the parties was backing up, that party is considered at fault. Cooperators never even contacted the other party, although I provided their contact information. The worst experience I've ever had. DO NOT EVER BUY INSURANCE FROM THEM.
