This Card is Ridiculous

by ravko on Jul 3, 2019
1 out of 5 stars

Had this card less than a month, $260 owing on it with $1000 credit limit and already they have flagged the card asking for $100 to un-flag it. Paid $180 and still don't have use of the card, this card is dead to me. I liked the PC point idea but not at the cost of always having the card declined going back to my trustworthy Visa card.

Total scammers

by BR on Jun 16, 2019

These people are scammers. I overpaid my account with 17800 dollars and they told me that they are sending the cheque to me which till this date haven't recieved. Be aware of this company. They should be kicked out of Canada and MasterCard should take their privileges back from this company as it destroying their name as well around this country. These people are total thieves. I have filed a lawsuit of over a million dollar against this company for stealing my money. These guys are running their business by stealing someone's money on the land of law

No longer able to use points

by CT88 on Jun 6, 2019
1.5 out of 5 stars

I've had my PC Financial Mastercard for 10 years, however, after being sent a second new credit card in the last year (both times they said my prior card was compromised..? and a new one was issued) I can no longer use my PC points or see my PC Points balance. The issue began on May 7th, it is now June 6th and they still have not been able to correct the issue. I've called 3 times over this period. Each time was given the same answer and told that the issue will take 6-8 business days to fix. It's now been 23 business days and they still have not corrected the issue. What good is the credit card if I can't use and redeem the points, and what good is a credit card company that is incompetent and has proven unable to solve a problem within a timeline 3 times more than what their own expectation of resolution is. I will be signing up for a competing card and if the issue is finally solved, I'll redeem my points and cancel the card.

dispute resolution

I have been using this card for years and PC Master card has made money from what I spend. Recently, I was scammed by a free trial trap online. The scammers used Costco to make me think that it was a free reward from Costco. They hid important Terms and Conditions. I thought I only had to pay for the shipping of some skincare products. It was a month later that I know that I had signed up for a free trial and also autofill, which I had no knowledge of. I was charged $400 by the scammers. When I called PC to dispute the charges, the rep wouldn't even take this as a dispute. He said this happens every day. Since I clicked that button on the scammer page, where the important message is hidden somewhere, I have to pay the scammers and PC Mastercard cannot do anything. In a business world, shouldn't the merchant provide customers with a copy of the contract they sign? In this free trial scam, if you don't keep a screen capture of every page you went through, you really don't have any idea of what you agree with. Once you give out your credit card info and click that button on the screen, it is changed to another screen and the important info won't be shown again. The scammers won't be able to provide you with a copy of whatever you sign for. They ask you to check their websites. When another email from the same scammer popped up, I tried to pretend to go through the pages and managed to keep screen captures for all the pages. On the final page, hidden at the bottom, there are some Terms and Conditions. Comparing these Terms and Conditions with the Terms and Conditions on the scammer's websites, I find several key discrepancies. All this means if you don't have screen captures for all the pages you went through, you won't know what you have signed up for. Whatever the scammers say you sign, then you cannot deny it. According to the contract laws, shouldn't merchant provide customers with a copy of a contract? PC Mastercard knows exactly what these scammers are doing and they won't do anything. I will cancel my PC Mastercard.

Worst Customer "Service"

by Frustrated Fred on Apr 23, 2019

They provided new cards when old ones expired. Both mine and my wives were rejected on first attempted use. Called them up and went on-line was told I had to go in-store not use tap or slide and enter my pin 3 times to get accepted. When I said this seems a ridiculous procedure they said that was how the software was created. I tried it at a No Frills checkout and after all this, the card was still rejected. Luckily I had a Visa backup. The other people in line were not happy nor has I. Contacted their customer service again and after much running around was told change my password online and then follow the same procedure. Like a knob, I went in and the same thing happened. The clerk correctly said that his a moronic thing to ask a customer to do. I would cut the card up and go somewhere else. This was the best advice I received and what I did.

Not a good card!

by PS on Apr 23, 2019

I've signed up to get a pc MasterCard months ago and still cannot review my transactions on their app. I call and all they say is that they are working on it and are escalating it but its been almost half a year and still nothing! I cannot stand the way they are handling this! Every time I call they pretend like they are doing something by putting me on hold and come back with no valid answer! Very very disappointed with many things about their customer service and now I am looking for a better card! It's not a good card at all!

Worst customer service

by MC on Apr 18, 2019

It's like they don't want you to be happy. Forget contacting them via email or website, they don't respond, so you have to call them. Explained to the first agent my problem, he transferred me, I waited another 15 minutes to get the worst agent. Maybe it's not his fault, it may be company policy. I could no longer log into my account and was told there was a flag on it, even though I had activated and used my card one. After the first time, I kept getting declined. The agent said they wanted me to send a copy of my driver's license and a utility bill in my name. NO! I have never had a CC give me this much trouble. Paid off the lousy card and closed my account. What a waste of time.

Very Poor Customer Service

by JustJenn on Apr 9, 2019
1.5 out of 5 stars

I have contacted the customer service department several times about not being able to access my account online. I was able to, in the beginning, however, after the change to their website I have not been able to. I called customer service they said - IT would review but never has been fixed. I always have to call to inquire on my balance, check payment dates, etc. My card is not delinquent and no reason this should not work! I am beyond angry at this point as spending a minimum of 7 mins to simply do a task that should be accessible online, seems very tedious

Incompetent customer service

by ReadTheFinePrint on Mar 20, 2019
1 out of 5 stars

This company has pestered me to apply for their PC Financial MC. In an attempt to contact them for clarification of card features and application process when they sent me a pre-approval form, I was met with far more additional application hoops than originally indicated despite an impeccable record. I received multiple different answers from different customer service sources and honestly, there was so much lack of ability to follow up on my inquiries I requested no further communication from them. This was ignored and STILL, they repeatedly sent me junk mail. I have requested yet again to remove me from their contact. Absolutely a gong show. To anyone thinking of applying. Make sure you read ALL the fine print on this card as the rewards are far less than what it appears on their promo materials. Thankful I never got this card. Happy to continue on with my other products instead.
