I canceled my account on 2018 with full balance has been paid. After years I realized they left $1 on my account and ruin my 4 years of credit history.
Our card was blocked because we forgot and were late one payment. The notification we got was misleading because it said we had exceeded our limit (we weren't close to your limit). We have had the card for years and have paid off the total balance monthly. This was the first time we were late on a payment. I have never had a card that was so aggressive in its block.

I used to have this card many years ago. This was before the Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart points programs were combined. I paid off the card and closed the account at my request because of very poor customer service. The small rewards I received were not worth the frustration. Today, in 2022, my credit report still shows that my account with a status of Open, an available credit limit, but no activity. I have no confidence in the accuracy of the data they send to credit bureaus. Ironically, I just received an email invitation offering me a pre-approved account. No thanks. I checked the other reviews here and it appears things have got much worse with this company. My advice is to stay away. There are much better credit cards out there where you can get more value in rewards compared to the stingy 1000 points for 1$ standard offer from the current PC Optimum program. I still collect Optimum points when I happen to be in a store, but I use a different credit card than this one.
They called us about 3 months ago to confirm our address since somehow one statement was returned undeliverable, 6 MONTHS before they phoned us!!? The address was correct. Later we realized the card was expired as of 01/22 but no new card ever showed up. Phoned them to ask what was going on, and they said they would send out new cards for my husband and me, although my husband never had one in the first place!? A month or so later nothing showed up. Phoned again and after 3 HOURS total wait on hold to find out they canceled the card due to inactivity. Nobody told us it was canceled and the only reason it had no activity is because they failed to send a new card in the first place!
So instead I phoned another bank and had a second card ordered in less than 10 minutes.
Never again PC Financial.

This credit card is awful! I pay my full amount to delete my account and they still charge me more interest after paying in full and cancelling my credit card! I had to wait for 3 hours on the phone for customer service and it was so nasty... Never answer what I was asking trying to get someone else like a supervisor and couldn't get me one... This is so disappointing PC credit card! Do not get this card! The interests are so high but customer service are awful! Please, be careful!
They would not even listen when I tried to get them to not close the account, refused to even consider the reasons for doing so was wrong
I had nothing owing and an excellent credit score and they cancelled my card and didn't tell me or warn me they were going to. It was embarrassing when I got my transaction declined. I waited over an hour on hold to find out why. The reason I hadn't used it in a year. Ah HELLO we're in a Pandemic where people don't really shop that much for a few reasons. If I want their card I have to apply again. NO THANKS!!!! They don't deserve my business.

Been on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes now. PC Mastercard messed up my credit score real bad. I closed my card 2 years ago, I paid everything off. But now to my surprise when a credit check was done on me, it says I owe PC Mastercard money. Whoever processed the closing of my card was truly incompetent! Now I have to go and correct THEIR mistake just so I could clear up my Credit Score! And I can't even talk to anyone from PC Financial! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CARD PEOPLE.

I’ve had the most horrendous experience with PC financial credit cards. I’ve had the card for a few years and only wanted it for the points. The credit card gets you nowhere further with points although they promise the world.
Terrible experience #1:
Auto-payments from my primary account (different financial institution) had expired without me realizing it which meant I had missed 2 payments with my PC cc. Not one phone call, email, notification from PC Financial. I had randomly logged into credit karma and found out that I had missed the payments. That day, I had got a call from a third party to say that my account was going to collections. Not from PC financial. With no communication, they sent my account to collections. I have never missed a payment once prior to this.
Terrible Experience #2:
Once again, I signed into credit karma to see that my PC CC was under closed accounts. Upon spending 30 minutes waiting to speak with someone, apparently there was a request to close my account through a request to speak to a representative online. Never got a call. Never got a confirmation that my account had apparently been closed. Nothing. As I write this, I’m trying to put an offer in on a house and find out a huge amount of my credit amount had randomly been cancelled which can seriously mess with my pre-approval.
Just avoid this financial agency at all costs. It’s a true customer service nightmare.
