PC Mastercard product is the worst product on the market, with poor customer support, extremely long wait times, and customer service representatives who aren't trained, don't know what they are talking about and their advice varies from one customer service agent to another. Really frustrating trying to get anything resolved. I am a customer for the last 5+ years and only recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with customer support since my card was involved in fraudulent activity.
Then in 2018 and on, my account is blocked due to small outstanding balances for a little more than 30 days. And the interest chargers they made were outrageous.
Since paying my last bill in Jan, they froze and blocked my card access. I have no balance owed. And I have no idea why they blocked my account. My only option is to phone. But I have given up on trying to reach PC Financial. This is an atrocious credit card service!

So not impressed with this company.
Waiting on hold, 45 minutes one day, one hour another day. No answer. Just cut off. Online messaging is frustrating. Someone calls me and leaves a message 'call us back'. No point, you don't answer. And they are charging me $10 each to send me some missing statements that I need so I can straighten out the missing optimum points they also screw up on.
I'm looking for another credit card with good reward points...
I have had this card with them for over 7 years. I may have been late to pay maybe a hand full of times. My credit limit was $2900. I've been using it and making payments monthly. I made a payment of $2600 towards my card after selling my camper. Went to use my card at the dentist and was declined. Checked my balance and my limit was dropped to $1000. This is their response. "We make every effort to ensure that your President's Choice Financial Mastercard meets your needs. Due to your recent account history, we have decided that a lower credit limit would better suit your requirements at this time. Your credit limit has been lowered, effective immediately." First off, as a loyal paying customer, how is the drop in limit meets my needs... No way in hell it does. AND HOW WOULD A DROP IN CREDIT LIMIT BETTER SUIT MY NEEDS. WHEN I NEEDED THEM THE MOST, I WASN'T ABLE TO PAY FOR MY $1600 DENTAL SURGERY. I had to empty what little savings I had after taking my kid to a sick kid's hospital. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS CARD... THEY ARE A JOKE OF A COMPANY. I will be avoiding every company that offers PC Optimum points. GO...YOURSELVES PC.
I had a limit of $3000. Then all of a sudden $4000 shows up on my card. They can’t figure out why and won’t give me my money back. One employee blamed it on internet charges. $1000 interest charges!?! That’s ridiculous and a blatant lie!!! I will never bank with this awful company again!!!

It is deplorable! Don’t use this service, it is a shameful company. Wait time more than 1 hour, 3 times calling and still can not resolve my issue since no one answer. I wish you all the worst.
TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE! On the phone, the representative actually swore at me. First, I had been waiting a long time to speak with someone, and when I did, a representative answered the phone. The agent misled me on the app because she didn't understand how it operated or where the prompts were located. I became irritated and requested to talk with a supervisor. When the supervisor answered the phone, he didn't care about my wait time or the fact that his representative didn't know how to navigate the app; instead, he yelled at me and swore. When I tried to refocus the conversation back to the original argument of the dispute he started to tell me that the transaction came out from the other card on the account and when I was telling him that he is wrong, it came out of the other card, he hung up the phone. As per their corporate policy, the call was recorded, and I'm hoping that someone will be able to listen to it. His tone, demeanour, and reasoning left me speechless. I'm now on the phone, attempting to cancel the account, and have been waiting for another 20 minutes to speak with someone. The worst experience I've ever had, and they effectively stole my money. $59.99 for four consecutive months in a row.
The card was compromised and I cancelled it on May 22/2022.
Called right away and froze my account. The card was replaced and mailed out on the 26th. Did it take them 4 days to cancel and replace the card?
It is now June 11th and still nothing. They say it is 8 - 10 business days, but it's been longer than that. They are blaming Canada Post but if they know this, why are they sending it through snail mail.
I called on Monday (6th) and they told me it's too early to cancel the replacement. I called on Friday and they sent me through to the specialist.
Long story short, no card, no customer service, and no manager to explain my experience and she did not seem to understand what I wanted.
Not sure who or where the call center is, but it is a huge waste of time and energy... AND STILL NO CARD OR RESOLUTION.

PC MasterCard obviously does not respect their customers time. The card has decent return if you shop and gas at PC stores and affiliates but who has 1+ hours to wait and speak with a live representative?
One time I was informed by an online representative that I would be contacted in person, approximately 2 days later I received an email stating I would not be getting a callback and to call the generic number.
PC MasterCard customer service doesn't deserve the 1-star minimum rating. I live in a small community with limited grocery options so the PC MasterCard makes sense. If I lived in a larger hub with more options, I would not give them my business.
Numerous requests for statements to back up the balance due were ignored for almost a year and still waiting... Trying to pay an account here on behalf of an ailing relative but just keep getting demands from the Collection agency. No response to letters requesting statements, which stopped last August. I would not recommend PC Financial M/C or its financial services if this is the best they can do.
