I cancelled my card over a month ago, making sure to call a few weeks after to check if I ‘owed’ any more money (usually always some sort of interest). Sure enough, I did so I paid it immediately. Here we are over a month later and they send me a bill. Seriously??!! I called to see what it was for and was told they can’t help me over the phone because my card is cancelled. I would have to go into a branch I don’t have any RBC products other than the credit card I had… It’s closed, you can’t help over the phone? But can send a random bill that I now have to go into a branch to deal with!!! So happy I have nothing else with RBC
We tried for 2 days to book a flight. Used points. Web site down. The new got it going and we couldn’t book seats. The flight was full. Called Air Canada and then RBC and then Air Canada. Then RBC. What a load of nonsense.
Going to tear out the cards and not ever use them again. So 100,000 down the drain in points. No one can do or help you, they just pass the buck.

I have a credit to use for a flight on my RBC Rewards, therefore I need to call RBC Rewards to book a new flight. I was on hold for 2 hours. Once I finally get connected with an agent, they hung up on me after 30 minutes because they could not figure out to re-book the new flight. AWFUL SERVICE. I will be cancelling my credit card, these points are not worth it.
Waited two hours - which I understand wait times are long. Then once we did get on with an agent we tried booking a flight over the phone as we were not able to do it online because we needed to redeem a flight credit. We not only couldn't redeem the full flight credit, but we also lost over $200 on taxes and then the agent needed help so she called another department, and then hung up on us. We had given a call back number and they never called back. Absolutely ridiculous. On hold again for another hour (still no answer) and there is no possible another way to book our flight using these credits than through the phone. I will never use the points to book a flight again - I DO NOT recommend it.
We booked our trip to the Dominican in October 2021 using over 400,000 RBC Travel points.
On January 11, 2022, RBC Travel cancelled our trip because of the "ongoing pandemic" even though we know quite a few people who were travelling and their trips were not cancelled.
Today is March 30, 2022, and I'm still calling, emailing, etc. etc. trying to get mine over 400,000 points put back on our credit cards. No one can give us an answer as to why our points are not being put back on our card; no one will give me the name and phone number of someone who is in charge or who can get this issue resolved
And it is very frustrating! Not to mention the hours on hold on the phone!

I’m a seasoned traveller and all I wanted was to pre-book my seats. Air Canada said if I booked my vacation using RBC Avion points I need to talk to them. GOOD LUCK hours on hold only to be cut off not once but many times.
I am so frustrated and I want to switch credit card and maybe even banks.
I am having a similar experience with RBC Travel Rewards in attempting to use or get back credits from cancelled travel. Has anyone found a complaint contact email or direct supervisor number? Who does RBC Travel Rewards report to? What is their corporate structure - Board, CEO, etc. They have over $10K of our family travel credit and it is criminal that we cannot access it and spend 10's of hours on calls and make zero progress, just a series of promises and no follow-up.
Waiting an hour to talk to someone. Talk to a lady for 30 sec before she sent me somewhere else for 3h 40mins waiting and never got a hold of anyone. This isn’t the first time it’s happened. You would think with all their money they could afford to hire more people and have more training. Would not recommend them as a bank at all!

The airline cancelled a flight made with an RBC reservation. Flight is no longer available on the Airline website. RBC won’t allow me to rebook the same flight for the day before because the airline hasn’t notified them? Or they will if I pay $200.
Rather than deal with the cancelled flight, they would prefer me to arrive at the airport for a cancelled flight? No help at all. When I asked to speak to another operator… put on hold until the call was just dropped.
I need to buy some furniture, so paid my credit card in full ahead of the due date to be able to spend more. I was told the full credit will be available immediately to use, however, it has been 3 days since I paid but it is still not reflecting on the available credit. I have called 3 times so far and waited for a long time, last time the operator literally hung up on me. I still can't access my own money which is quite frustrating.
