I didn't get my rebate cheque in the mail. I called to ask them to send me another copy. They were able to confirm the account rebate balance was untouched but refused to send me my cheque as records indicate the cheque had already been sent. When I told him it most likely got lost in transit, the MasterCard customer representative yelled "THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE" So basically your rebate = 0% if anything goes wrong. If you are looking for someone to add insult to injury please call customer service!
There is a philipino lady with broken English, closed my account without telling me. She says will open for me it take 2 days, now been a month cannot use my card. Called again they says I have to go Costco again. Very unprofessional customer service.

Every time I call for an issue it never gets resolved. The customer service department is not trained or knowledgeable about the business, they only read off a script and say sorry. Last time I called asking to cancel a transaction (fraudulent) I was told I have to wait 15 days while the company I wanted to purchase from has my Credit Card info. With another card, all I have to do is text them and it's done! Horrible service. This Credit Card gets cancelled.
Having read a number of similar reviews on here before posting mine, I'm appalled that the company doesn't change something already! They will keep losing customers! I tried to increase my credit limit in anticipation of a large payment coming up that I needed to make, got told they can't increase my limit. So I sent $17,000 cash onto a card to essentially prepay my account so I can pay for my roof afterwards.. made sure payment gets posted! And the card gets declined. I called customer service again and they informed me that their card doesn't work that way and that I will have to call my bank and request a reverse payment. Seriously? So, you have my money and I can't even spend it?
I have family members whose credit it much lower than mine and they have over $ 7000 limit. I can't buy a lot of stuff online on costco.ca since they are more expensive than my whole limit. I am forced to use other mastercards and sometimes I am losing on over $ 100 of points with one purchase. Basically capital one is stealing money from me and others like me due to their incompetency. Even a child can do a credit check, just do a credit check, what kind of company are they? Anyways, Costco has really decided to screw over their clients in Canada, but Costco Canada has never been as caring as US Costco.

Costco should be embarrassed. This card is the worst card I have ever had! They refuse to raise the limit even though my credit is excellent. Customer service is a joke. They argued and talked over me. I can’t wait to cancel this pathetic card.
Asked Costco to set up an auto-renewal for my Costco membership associated with my Mastercard when I renewed last year, this wasn't done so my Costco membership expired without my knowledge. No letter, email or calls were received either from Costco or Capital One regarding this issue. I only found out there was a problem when my card declined. Capital representative told me they had closed my account because I hadn't renewed my Costco membership and that my 650 dollars of cashback accrued was now non-collectable but advised that Costco could call and request the account be reopened. Went in and renewed my Costco membership and explained the situation. They called and asked for it to be reopened but there was no supervisor available to do so so I had to call back the next day. They then told me Costco had to fill out a form requesting the account be reopened detailing the reasons for missed membership renewal. Went in and Costco sent the form. Capital one denied the request even though it was from Costco whose membership I failed to renew. I've never missed a payment, my credit score is over 760, I paid my full balance owing every month. The fact that they can close the account with no notice and refuse to reopen it once I explained the situation and remedied the membership issue despite Costco's request is complete garbage. This is a terrible company with zero ethics and very poor customer service. Many of the reps are second language English speakers which make navigating phone conversation challenging and they can't help you once the issue is figured out. To boot Capital, one has been hacked and all their accounts information stolen. This is just a really bad issuer and we can all find better. Don't sign up, if you have any of their cards please switch.
In June of 2018, I contacted customer service by phone to close my account, as I wasn't using it. I received a statement showing my final balance as $0 and thought I was done. I moved, and obviously, did not provide them with an updated address, as I was no longer doing business with them. In August of 2019, I received a collections call, and after a great deal of digging, learned that my Costco membership was automatically charged to that account in October 2019 (four months after I'd "closed" it - clearly, that wasn't done properly). They had deleted my email address from the account because I didn't respond to any of their emails for a year (I wasn't using the card, why would I need to email them), and they were sending statements to my old address. The end result, I have a black mark on my credit history even though I did everything correctly. Live and learn - if you ask for something, get written confirmation that it's been done. And apparently, you need to send them email notes even if you don't have anything to say. Ridiculous processes, and shoddy customer service.

My wife and I are on 1 account with 2 credit cards and my wife is the primary holder, but when I called to change the address they treated me like I'm a totally different person... I mean why do you allow 2 people to be on 1 account if i can't even make any changes or ask any questions on that account? Very inconvenient and pointless
