If you’re struggling with mental health they will help you struggle more

1 out of 5 stars
I have had to deal with the nastiest claim manager. I am on disability due to illness, and she calls all snarky, condescending and threatening. I'm recording any calls I have with her in the future and filing a lawsuit.
In this day and age, this shouldn't be happening. Mental illness is not a joke.
If I could leave no stars I would.
Warning: Do not use this company!
After paying health insurance to Canada Life I became very ill and unable to work. At this time of Covid-19 pandemic they are forcing me to go out and "Find Employment" despite what my medical doctors are totally against. They refuse to send me any documents of their rules. Harass me to no end. Very unprofessional. They even told me not to see my doctors as they don't even know what diseases are that I am diagnosed with. Really do not even deserve any stars on reviews. Very insensitive and could care less about clients. Pitiful their attitudes.

The absolute worst experience being on disability.
Firstly... There should be a completely separate department for mental health. How one is treated and talked to by this company while struggling with mental health is unreal. The person who dealt with my financing portion was the worst person to talk to. My RTW plan started March 12-April 12 I was told l'd receive march payment on April 15, now according to the rep it's the 26th. No email or anything to update me, so I can make arrangements for all my payees. February payment wasn't received until March 5th.
Unbelievably unorganized company with a huge lack of communication. The amount of chasing I've had to do to get no answers and to be lied to is crazy. If you can avoid having to use Canada Life, I would. It's more stress on top of the stress you're already under. If you're on disability for a broken leg or something, maybe they're ok. Not for mental health/wellness.
