As soon as my plan expired, Manulife began contesting my claims and saying I owed them money. I provided legitimate receipts for legitimate claims that they are supposed to cover. I even paid more for the plan than what I got back! They are still harassing me to this day.
Do whatever you can to steer clear of this company. If the company you work for provides benefits through Manulife, ask if you can opt-out of the program.
Have had so many payment issues and coverage suspensions for no reason And this company’s customer service is an embarrassment. Constantly lose connection. On phone call, they tell you they will call you back or make a note on your account and do nothing. Offer no reconciliation if they mess up on their end due to their inexperienced representatives.
Their customer service for both insurance and financial advising is awful. You can't complain your broker or financial advisor because they won't keep it confidential.
I am very disappointed in the insurance care that was provided by AMA and never felt so unsafe in my life with your provider.
I purchased insurance for a trip to Egypt for the period of March 10 to March 23 that included Covid 19 protection. It was an expensive policy costing over 1,500$ and yet when I needed to talk to someone all the phone numbers on the card sent me on a mindless loop.
I was scared, wanted advice and help from Egypt and yet could not get any.
So disappointed with AMA.
