We’ve been with Blue Cross for many years and just renewed for the year starting October 1, 2023. Due to our age (70’s) and waiting for surgery, 1-2 year wait, we called to cancel.
Over the years we were led to believe the coverage could be cancelled and money paid back pro-rated. Which is fine being this started October 1, 2023. Here it is November and they refuse to do what is not only the right thing to do but we were misled right from day one.
So Never ever deal with this company. This is not the only negative review on this pathetic scam.

Blue Cross is the worst in customer service. I do not recommend anyone to deal with them. They only care when you pay them, but when you have an emergency, they don't care about you. When it comes to coverage, they use tactics to waste your time so you give up and they don't pay you, even if you have provided all the documents they requested.
I had an emergency and I called them in advance to inform them before going to the doctor. After getting their approval and confirmation, I went and paid the amount. They told me they would cover the cost, but they didn't because they claimed the insurance had expired. However, the insurance was still valid; I visited the doctor on February 9th, and the expiry date was February 27th. This shows negligence and deceit.
I have contacted them many times and sent all the documents and evidence, but they keep sending me the same email asking me to resend the invoices and the travel card. I did that, but to no avail. On Facebook, they disabled the option to post pictures because they are certain so many affected people will put them to fault. I handled this case to my attorney.
