I called The Personal insurance today to insure a new car I bought. I was very pleasantly surprised at how quick and painless a knowledgeable employee could make the experience. The rep's name was Buder Brutus and it was clear that he wanted to help - he leveraged his expertise to get me the best option for my situation. I was appreciative enough to want to write this review as a way of thanking him. Give this man a raise haha!
The adjuster had a complete failure to communicate with me. A claim was made against me. I left voice mail messages advising that there was a false claim and I wanted to give him my statement. He did not return my call and rated the claim against me. I sent a written statement indicating what had happened with my concern that the claimant was putting forward a false claim I heard nothing from the adjuster. I called him once and checked to see if he had received any evidence from the claimant proving the damage that he asserted was caused by me. He said he did not hear anything and if they didn't hear anything they would close the case. I heard nothing again until it was time to renew my insurance and found out the claim was rated against me without providing me with any evidence or communication with me at all. There clearly is a profit incentive to do as little work as possible and rate a claim against people because it increases premiums.

I had a very positive experience with The Personal when my car was hit and needed repaire. They extended my car rental to cover the extra time it took for repairs and were friendly and efficient all of the way through. Every agent I spoke with with was helpful at what was already a stressful time - much appreciated.
Can't say enough to thank customer service for their prompt and personal service after contacting them re: damage done to vehicle during our severe windstorm . I was asked if vehicle was still able to be driven. Told them it was but bumpers had to be taped on. They told me were to take it for damage appraisal and that while it was being repaired they would supply me with rental for the period of time it was being repaired. Granted vehicle was not able to go for repairs until the end of august due to such high volume of repairs to other vehicles that were not driveable. I was completely satisified with this as i realize that rental vehicles are scarce during the spring /summer season and that repairs are done in priority. I received many calls from The Personal to see if everything was o.k At the time my husband was in hospital and it was a stressful time for me.They added my daughter to policy, at no extra charge, so she could take care of this event. Received my renewal for this year and it is a few cents cheaper than last year. I would recommend The Personal to anyone.
This company has no loyalty to their customers ! i wouldn't suggest any one to have any kinda policies with them
Its been over two weeks my car got hit, no URGENCY for them to figure it out. Unable to reach claim agents. Switching companies asap.
I had a car accident over a month ago with over $5000 worth of damage. Right after my case was started the adjuster went on holidays. I tried phoning several times and the adjuster never returned any of my calls. Then about a month after the case started I had called several times to find out through one call that on the adjusters voicemail that they were going to be gone for an undetermined amount of time. I had to call back to ask for another adjuster to take on my case cuz they failed to take that action. After speaking to the new adjuster on my case I found out that the previous adjuster hadn't taken any documentation of the information I had provided and now I have to do the process all over again. And will probably be waiting months before my car will be fixed. I have stressed to them that driving my car is unsafe and not practical as I need to use the passenger door to get into my vehicle. But that doesn't seem to be an issue with them as they are still taking their sweet time to solve this problem. I wouldn't recommend getting insurance with them to anyone.
My daughter blacked out at the wheel of her vehicle and deemed her car to be written off. This happened 2 weeks ago and the claim is still not settled. The personal adjuster her car taken to an auction without notifying her so she could remove her license plate. We have been told after asking several times about the plate it was sent 2 weeks ago and it has not arrived yet and the vehicle has been sold. This company is not efficient when keeping you up to date on the claim and now the claim is switching hands to another person because the person working on it is changing departments. My daughter is waiting for results from doctors appointments and further testing to determine the cause of her losing consciousness at the wheel. I am sure once this is finally settled, whenever that may happen. She will be switching insurance companies.

I was hit by a person who was drunk, unlicensed and left the scene of the accident, this person was insured was The Personal. They gave me a terrible unfair settlement for my vehicle that was deemed a total loss. They refused to give me the rental car I was entitled too, they never emailed me the documents they were supposed too, I had to continually call them and fight with them. The customer service was absolutely horrible. This is an awful company and I hope they go under.

My car insurance premium has increased by 20% for year 2018 for royal customer like me, 8 years with them. I had a not-at-fault accident 5 years ago. I was told by someone in the Personal that it was not my fault and no big increase in premium. Since then, my premium has increased around 4% every year, which I considered was a reasonable increase. When I called them to discontinue my insurance, I was told that they put me at fault for the accident and threatened me that other insurance company will ask for high premium.
